We here at Mooney's Bakery extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community for 34 years of business in Conneaut.

With heavy heart, we announce that we must close our doors forever this Saturday, June 15. Circumstances beyond our control have led us to this difficult but inevitable decision.

We've got good news and bad news. First, the good news: we will be opening tomorrow morning!

However, with consideration for the current circumstances, for the time being, we will be open for shorter hours until further notice: Thursday through Saturday, 5 am - 3 pm.

On December 12, 2022, at the age of 82, Marcella Mooney suffered a stroke which has left her unable to move her left side. She is currently in a long-term care facility and undergoing rehabilitative therapy, but she faces a long road to recovery and a huge pile of medical bills.

Forty years ago, her husband Tom started a business, Mooney’s Bakery–a beloved institution in Conneaut, Ohio. After his death, Marcella and her son Michael have worked hard to keep the business going, supplying Conneaut and the surrounding communities with delicious pastries and other baked goods. A devoted mother of six, Marcella enjoys visiting with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She has long been an active member of the Keepville Bible Church.

We ask those who can to help us meet Marcella’s medical expenses. If you value local businesses, and wish to help a family in need, please give what you can. All funds raised will go toward Marcella’s medical expenses and recovery needs.
