On January 14h, my husband graduaed from college.
Graduating in itself is a big deal. However, I'd like to share why this was was a huge accomplishment.
We live in Indiana but the school was in Ohio. So from the beginning of March 2021, our family has been separated during the week. For 10 months, we would get Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sunday mornings with him.
This isn't the first time we've had to be separated. We began our relationship with him stationed on the other side of the country. We've been through a deployment.
I know there are families that deal with work related separations all the time - they aren't easy at all.
He worked SO hard in those 10 months and to say I'm proud of him would be a massive understatement. He passed every single test on the first try and maintained a high GPA the entire time.
This past Saturday I threw him a surprise graduation party. His school doesn't do any sort of ceremony and, well, I just couldn't accept that.
I love pouring myself into desserts I make. But the desserts I made for this past weekend were made with thankfulness, love, and joy.
Congratulations, Husband.
I'm so incredibly proud of you ❤
