🩵 BIG NEWS, COLUMBUS! 🧁

When we announced that Gigi's Cupcakes would be closing our Columbus location, we made you one promise...

We were going to find a bakery that would continue the legacy of bringing incredible desserts to this community.

Today, we're excited to officially introduce The Sweet Spot Baking Co. as the bakery taking over our former space! 🎉

Please help us welcome Emily, the owner of The Sweet Spot Baking Co., as she prepares to open her third bakery location, joining her successful stores in Americus, GA and Stockbridge, GA.

From the moment we tasted her desserts, we knew Columbus was getting something special. Her baked goods are outstanding, and if you're a cheesecake lover... you're in for a real treat. 🤤

We couldn't be happier knowing this space will continue serving the community with homemade desserts, warm hospitality, and plenty of reasons to celebrate life's sweetest moments.

Stay tuned for their official opening date—they're hoping to open very soon! We hope you'll give Emily and her team the same incredible support you've shown us through the years.

Columbus, thank you for allowing us to serve you for 14 wonderful years. While this chapter has come to a close for Gigi's Cupcakes, we're excited to see a new one begin with The Sweet Spot Baking Co.

✨ Something Sweet Is Coming to Columbus… ✨

When we made the difficult decision to close our Gigi’s Cupcakes location in Columbus, we also made a promise: we wouldn’t leave our community without an incredible bakery to carry on the tradition of celebrating life’s sweetest moments.

We’re excited to say… we kept that promise.

Next week, we’ll officially introduce the amazing bakery that will be calling our former space home. We truly believe you’re going to love what they bring to Columbus!

These walls have held so many sweet memories since 2012 — birthdays, weddings, baby showers, after-school treats, and everyday moments that became special because you chose to celebrate them with us.

As we count down these last few days, we’d truly love the chance to serve you one more time. Come grab your favorite cupcake, or simply stop by to say hello before we close this chapter.

Thank you for every order, every kind word, every recommendation, and every bit of support over the years. Columbus helped make this place feel like home, and we’ll never forget it.

Today we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. 🇺🇸

In observance of Memorial Day, we will be closed today as we reflect with gratitude on those who gave so much.

After much thought and prayer, we want to share an update regarding Gigi’s Cupcakes in Columbus.

Our final day of business will be Saturday, May 30th.

Serving this community since 2012 has been such a blessing. We are incredibly grateful for every customer who celebrated birthdays, weddings, milestones, and everyday moments with us over the years. Your support has meant more than words can express.

This season has brought many changes for our family following the loss of Jennifer, and this decision comes with both heavy hearts and grateful hearts for all that this bakery has been.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we’re hopeful a sweet new chapter may be beginning… ❤️

We are currently working through details and are hopeful that a new bakery may soon call this space home. Nothing is finalized just yet, but we’re excited about the possibility and will share more as details come together.

Until May 30th, we’d love to see your faces, serve you one more cupcake, and celebrate the memories we’ve made together.

Thank you, Columbus, for allowing us to be part of your lives for the last 14 years. 🧁

🧁With heavy hearts and a lot of prayer, we’ve come to the decision to offer our Columbus bakery space for sale.

For 14 years, this place has meant so much to our family. It’s been filled with early mornings, late nights, laughter, and countless memories we’ll always hold close. In light of the tragic loss of Jennifer last Fall, and the unexpected changes that brought to our family, we feel it’s time to step back and allow someone else to carry this space forward.

We truly believe there’s still so much life and purpose here. This is a fully equipped, turn-key bakery—perfect for a passionate home baker ready to grow, or someone looking to step into a larger, ready-to-go space.

While it won’t continue as a Gigi’s location after the sale, it’s ready for a new story to be written within these walls.
