I've been wanting to try my hand at decorating this cookie for quite some time. Perfect excuse presented itself when my granddaughter, who loooves all things Stanley, was competing in the State gymnastics' meet. I gifted her cookies instead of flowers at the end of the meet. So proud of her and her accomplishments.

Also, thanks to .bakes for the tutorial on how to accomplish the realistic shading on this cookie. I love learning from the best.

Oh, Lord, who held a gun to my head and made me accumulate soooo many cookie cutters! This is one drawer. Just one. It's my Valentines Day/Easter drawer. Chicks and bunnies of so many sizes. Hearts, hearts and more hearts. Hearts with bows. Geometric shaped hearts. Heart balloon bouquet. Believe it or not, I am getting rid of some of my cutters. Donating to my church's garage sale that supports Habitat for Humanity. I'm setting them free so others can enjoy them. I'm guessing there will be several boxes.

Celebrating International Women's Day.

I have been so blessed to have had strong, intelligent, supportive, open-minded, loving women as my role models through the years. My hope is that I am able to pass on these qualities to my daughter and granddaughters.

Come decorate with me!

Chase away those winter blues with some fun. Decorate these cozy Valentines Day cookies in my next workshop. Learn how to use royal icing transfers to add dimension and interest to your cookies. Experiment with adding texture and color. Take your cookie decorating skills to another level.

I'll be offering these workshops on Thursday, February 6th from 6-8 PM and Saturday, February 8th from 10 AM-12 PM.

I provide everything you'll need to decorate the cookies. You provide the questions, excitement and laughter.

Is it even Christmas if you don't make cookies for Santa?

I thought this might be the year that decorating cookies for Santa wasn't cool. But to my surprise, the oldest granddaughter was the one who was asking when they could come over and decorate. Both of these girls have been decorating cookies since they were old enough to hold a piping bag. And when you have a Gigi who has almost every cookie tool, sprinkles, sanding sugar and icing color, their creativity is unleashed.

Hope Santa enjoyed the cookies!

Throwing it way back to cookies I made 9 years ago. My sister-in-law to this day says this is her all time favorite cookie. My cookie business was in it's infancy and I was still learning how to take a design from my imagination and put it on a cookie.
Maybe next year I'll recreate this design with some new techniques.
