A happy Sunday greeting to all of our friends and customers of B's! We hope you had a good week, and we hope for another one ahead. It's getting a little more summery out there, but next week is looking perfectly fall-tastic!
We have a few new items to share below - such as the return of GF special order cakes, and a fun promotion on Halloween! Read on for all the info and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Important note: whether you're been with us forever or you're new to us, if we serve you something and it's not right (wrong item, missing a component, too salty, overcooked, undercooked), we 100% want to know. Let us make it again. Let us get you something different.
You spent your hard-earned money at our counter, and we want to do everything in our power to make sure you have the best experience! We always want to know - mistakes happen, because we are human. But we have the power to fix things! So please allow us to do that for you!
Gluten-Free Cakes Are Back
As we've been telling you for a few weeks, we recently changed our gluten-free flour blend - as well as some of our processes and recipes - to hopefully eliminate some of the textural and consistency issues that we'd experienced over the years with our GF baking.
When we were still experiencing issues, we took GF cakes off the menu because they were even more problematic than the muffins and cupcakes were! Well....we are excited to announce that GF cakes are available, once again, for special order. They are currently offered in 3" (smash cake) and 6" (serves 4-6) varieties - with pre-set flavor combos like coconut cake (featured above) and lemon raspberry, as well as a custom versions where you can choose your cake base, frosting, and a few other options.
We haven't had the chance to test 9" GF cakes yet, but when we get that nailed down, we will make that option available too! Thanks to everyone for their feedback, patience and support.
October Flavors Are Here!
We are nearing the halfway point of October, and we hope you're enjoying the October pastry menu!
We've got apple in the form of apple c***r cupcakes, with cinnamon buttercream (both regular and gluten free). There is pumpkin, in the form of pumpkin chocolate muffins (also regular and GF).
Cranberry orange debuted as a quick bread, topped with an orange glaze (in the header image). Meanwhile, the October featured cookie is a dark chocolate cookie studded with white chocolate chips! (You'll likely see a similar version - but with mint - in December.)
All of the flavors listed below are available daily in the bakery (unless noted), for walk-in customers or for ordering ahead. Remember, if you want to be sure we have what you want, you can order online by 1 pm the day before for all pastries (cinnamon rolls, muffins, pop tarts, etc.). You can also order ahead in person.
Cookies and bar cookies can be ordered online (or in-person) for same day pickup, usually with a two-hour lead time. Larger orders, like platters, might need additional time!
Breeze Out, Lemonade In
Our summertime drink, B's Summer Breeze, has made a graceful exit, as it always does this time of year. Stepping in to fill the void is our B's Lemonade!
It starts with the simplest of ingredients:
-100% pure lemon juice
-simple syrup, made in-house
-filtered water
That's it! It's not overly sweet, just like everything we make, and a little bit tart. But it's completely customizable! Want it sweeter? Ask for simple syrup. Want it flavored? Choose from our large selection of housemade syrups - whether strawberry, mint, brown sugar, or anything else that sounds good to you.
Want an Arnold Palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea)? Done. Want a Rosie Palmer (half lemonade, half rosa de jamaica)? Done. That's what's pictured above and is honestly my go-to drink.
This will be available daily until next May, when Summer Breeze emerges from hibernation!

Thursday, October 15 - Thanksgiving Orders launch
Sunday, October 26 - Pop-Up Doughnut Event (old-fashioned doughnuts only; pre-orders required - no walk-ins available), 8 am to 10 am only
Saturday, October 31 - Kids 12 and under, in Halloween costumes, will get a free cookie (limit one per child).
Thursday, November 19 - 9 am is the deadline for Thanksgiving Pre-Orders & Communal Dinner Pre-Orders (as well all special orders for the next week)
Sunday, November 22 - Pop-Up Doughnut Event (old-fashioned doughnuts only; pre-orders required - no walk-ins available), 8 am to 10 am only
Tuesday, November 24 - normal hours and operations. First day for peppermint bark!
Wednesday, November 25 - 8 am to 2 pm, with breakfast service only until 11 am. Thanksgiving Order pick-up windows will be: 10 am to Noon; Noon to 1:45 pm. Extra pies, rolls and more will be available for walk-in customers.
Thursday, November 26 - Open 3 to 5:30 pm only, for Communal Thanksgiving Dinner (advance purchase required)
Friday & Saturday, November 27 & 28 - closed
Tuesday, December 1 - Regular schedule resumes
Delivery Reminder
Whether it's hot, humid, and stormy days or cold, sleety and snowy ones, or ones where you just don't want to leave your house/office - we've got you covered! Our website's online ordering has delivery options, in addition to pickup.
DELIVERY - When you first enter the Order Online portal, you'll select delivery instead of pickup. (See photo below.) Enter your delivery address and you'll either be confirmed or told your delivery address is too far away. It appears to be an approximately 10 mile radius from B's. (We don't set those parameters, so we can't override them!)
After your address is approved, you can go ahead and place your order. Be sure to select the proper day and time you want, during the checkout process!
A few things to keep in mind:
MEALS - Available for same-day delivery or future delivery. Just make sure if you're ordering breakfast, you have the order time set for during breakfast hours. Same for Burger Bar. (Lunch runs all day, so that's not an issue.)
PASTRIES - Only cookies are available if you're getting a same-day delivery. If you want cinnamon rolls, pop tarts, etc., you'll need to make sure the delivery is set for a future day.
GRAB & GO - crackers, graham crackers, pasta salads, and beyond are all fine for same-day or future ordering.
SPECIAL ORDERS - These are still subject to their built-in lead time, which varies from one to three business days. But if you're planning ahead, then even your special orders can get delivered!
It is important to note that we are unable to set up delivery orders in the bakery! Our registers can only set up pickup orders. The only way to access delivery options is on the website. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!
Join Us in Antigua Guatemala in 2027!
Antigua Con Amor (Antigua With Love) is what we call our trip experiences to our favorite place - Antigua Guatemala, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the source of our fantastic De la Gente coffee.
These trips began in 2024, with the idea of connecting our coffee-loving customers with the men and women who grow our coffee. The trips have broadened in scope but the core experience remains the centerpiece of the trip!
For our vegan (as well as vegetarian and/or gluten-free) customers, you'd be hard pressed to find as beautiful a city anywhere with as many delicious and safe choices for you to eat! (If you're not vegetarian or vegan, don't worry - you'll also eat like royalty!)

Antigua Guatemala has year-round highs in the upper 70s, and lows in the 50's. Little humidity, and January - in particular - is the height of the dry season. Sunny days and cool nights....it's a wonderful combination!
All trip participants get to stay at Porta Hotel Antigua, an eco-friendly and beautiful hotel property. All rooms are in the garden area of the hotel, facing the lush grounds and/or the swimming pool. You'll eat wonderful food, walk through and learn about this incredible colonial city, and have unparalleled experiences in this mile-high valley that sits at the base of three volcanoes. And you get the two of us as your personal tour guides!
