Our Story

Cake Collection Boutique is a family owned and operated bakery business.

Iris started baking many years ago when she couldn’t afford to buy a cake to celebrate the presentation of her twins at church. Cakes have always been a big part of Iris’ culture. This prompted Iris to start creating and experimenting with different recipes from the comfort of her home. Being a single parent of four wonderful children Iris saw baking as an opportunity to provide for her children while attending college towards a degree in the field of Occupational Therapy. Baking allowed Iris to provide for her family without worrying about getting a babysitter. Iris is a self taught baker and decorator and these skills were passed on to her daughter Sharisa at a very early age. After graduating Iris thought that she would put baking on the back burner to focus on her field of study. After relocating from New England to South Carolina, Iris had no intention of baking, let alone opening a bakery. It wasn’t until one of Iris’ coworkers had a birthday and Iris offered to make her a birthday cake that’s when the passion of baking and decorating quickly came back. Now alongside Iris, her beautiful daughter Sharisa has learned and mastered baking as well as cake decorating, she gets it from her Mama. And as they say the rest is history through word of taste- well word of mouth. The advertisement has been simply amazing from happy and satisfied customers.

Cake Collection Boutique: specializing in custom cakes and cupcakes with the option of sitting and enjoying a cupcake, a slice of cake or cookie with a cup of coffee or hot tea. Cake Collection Boutique provides cakes/cupcakes as well as dessert-catering services for many events within Columbia South and other surrounding areas
