FROM HERE ON OUT, THIS CAKE WILL BE CALLED
MARY'S DATENUT CAKE!

Formerly Dicks copycat datenut cake

Why? You ask? 😳
After making this cake who knows how many times ( ok, let's just say 40), I have come to the conclusion that NO ONE remembers how it tastes.
Now, you might argue and say " I surely remember! I had it at my wedding 50 years ago and every anniversary, birthday since". I've heard it all! And you know what else I've heard?
" The cake is too dry" " Its too fluffy" "It's too dense" "Its too sweet." "It's not sweet enough"
"There are too many nuts" " There's not enough nuts"
" There's too many dates"
" There's not enough dates"
🤣
And, you might say " ______ ( insert bakery name here)
makes it just like Dicks"
But, guess what else? Your neighbor will say " No way! You're crazy!"
So, without further ado.....I will sell Mary's datenut cake.
It may not be Dicks! ( or it might be 😆) but, its all homemade with the best ingredients! It's labor intensive. And, it's a good cake!

Unfortunately, my customer was confused by this cookie and not happy with my design 😫 I thought it was such a cute cookie.
