Update (includes her most recent pic before surgery)*

Sunday Morning:

Mom went in and out of arterial fibrillation, so she will NOT be moved, this morning.

Mom still hasn't walked yet, but did go from her bed to the chair beside her bed, with PT/OT help once. She has refused to stand up and walk, ATM, but we (the nurses and I) hope she will make progress today. If no progress, she will see the doctor again, and a plan will be put into action.

If you want to send her flowers or balloons or w/e, pls be patient as I wait to know what room myself, but I will letcha know as soon as I know something.

If you have my number, feel free to hmu, and if I cannot answer, just leave me a vm, and I will return your call asap

Mom is in The ICU and if all goes well, she will move from there to her next step (room) where she will work to be stable enough to continue her post op rehab from home.

I expect Mom will have her phone and be in moved to her room Saturday evening or Sunday

I will update you more, tomorrow.

Hey there GJK followers. Long time there my faithful friends. I’m posting today because I have developed the basics of a brand new recipe that’s be in the category with my Brownies and Toll House Bars. What do all y’all say about Brownies with White Chocolate Chips? Kinda like Toll House Bars reversed. Okay I confess. I’ve already made one batch. OMG. There otta be a law!! And so much for that 8 pounds I “had” lost!!

Good morning folks. I realize I don’t do much baking now that Ted has passed. I started it FOR him. But now that I’m working full time again and there’s nobody to eat it and I also don’t go to rendezvous anymore, I just don’t cook. However, if you want to order something, I’ll be happy to make it for you.

GJK has been on hiatus and will remain so except for special call in orders for stuff like Gluten Free products, Grandma Janie's Old Fashioned Brownies and our No Sugar Added pies and mousse desserts.

That being said, check out Grandma Janie's other page - GRANDMA JANIE'S WRAPS. Although it targets the sports enthusiasts, EVERYTHING is available in fabric that is not sports related.

Good Morning GJK followers. Following my post the other day about "the kitchen" being down til August, I was abruptly reminded that folks will need FUDGE for Easter. 🤔🤔🤔That being said, I will take orders for Palm Sunday and the Week leading up to Easter on April 16, 2017. Hey Everyone! Grandma Janie's Kitchen is "down" til around August, when I will start preparing for the Friends of Maxwell Mountain Man Rondezvoux the first full weekend in October. We will be putting Ted Ocker's ashes on Buffalo Hill that weekend. I have not 100% decided as to whether I will return in 2018. Chances are 50/50 right now. The heart mind and soul might have healed greatly by then and the familiar faces might be really good for me at that point. But all of you should know this. Grandma is going in for a heart dye cath with the ultimate end result being valve repair and/or replacement. So one never knows. Y'all might be spreading more ashes than just Ted's. It's reality. Love you all!!

GJK is headed out to Manhattan, KS next week for our final Kansas Muzzle Loaders Association Annual Convention. This will be my 7th and final year participating in events so far away from home. In the meantime, keep your eyes open for us to be at local Farmers Markets with stuff from Grandma Janie's Wraps!!

Keep in mind that Grandma will make Banana Bread, Fudge, and Brownies upon request. Mississippi Black Bottom Mud Pie and regular yeast breads also. Use the number on our page.
