I found out recently that my dad is in stage 3 kidney failure.
Without even thinking twice, I bought a plane ticket to go see him in a couple of weeks.
In the middle of all of this, I had a moment that really hit me.
Life is short. Way shorter than we think sometimes.
But I also realized how lucky I am.
Lucky that I was able to buy that ticket immediately.
Lucky that I didn’t have to ask permission from a boss.
Lucky that I didn’t have to request PTO or hope someone would cover my shift.
Lucky that my mind immediately went to “how can I create more opportunity while I’m gone?” instead of “how am I going to survive missing work?”
Building this business hasn’t just given me income. It’s given me freedom. Time. Options. The ability to show up for the people I love when it matters most.
So while this season is heavy, it’s also a reminder of why I work so hard in the first place.
And yes… my entrepreneur brain immediately started thinking of ways to keep my team busy and run some promotions while I’m away
Because life keeps moving. And I’m grateful every single day that I built something that can move with it.
Thank you to everyone who supports the business that gives me this kind of freedom. It truly means more than you know 🤍
