Someone asked for an update from me and so I thought maybe I should share with the whole page….I realize it’s been quite a while since I have posted and I haven’t forgotten you all!!!!

Got through those surgeries on my legs in 2020 and staying off my feet has been beneficial….I have a desk job now which continues to keep me off my feet.

I got married in October 2020 and have a wonderful husband two great step kids who keep my on my toes….many of you might have seen them at the shop over the years. They have grown like weeds since the wedding!!!

Mom, Carol who also used to partner me at the shop is doing great and of course spends her time serving others and volunteering and doing a bit of traveling these days.

I did get in a car accident, in December 2020 right after the wedding where someone ran a red light and I’ve got 5 discs in my neck and 2 in my lower back that were badly injured so I’ve been battling that and have had 6 failed surgeries and yesterday 1 had part of 4 ablations on my spine that we are real hopeful will finally give me some pain relief, so currently I’m off for a day from my office job to get some rest and I’m real hopeful that this proceedure will be the key to some help!

I guess my time of working in the pastry world really is over because if it wasn’t for the other issue, this sure sealed the deal!
But regardless, I remain positive and blessed that I’m walking and talking and it could have been much worse.

There are always things to be grateful for in life and I have family and friends and so much more life to live!

Still would like to write that cookbook at some point but just getting through the past 2.5 years of constant pain while working fulltime and taking care of a husband/family has been my focus, but maybe this surgery yesterday will be the key to relief and if so then we will move onto the next three proceedures and at some point that means less Dr visits and neurologist appts and treatments and that will free up some time and maybe I can put some time into writing a cookbook or two before I forget it all!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

I hope you all are well and I do miss being able to create for everyone, it was a joy to be able to be a small part of everyone’s holidays and special occasions. 💕

Hi guys! Just a quick update for any interested peeps! Up and recovering from surgery (it was put off due to covid but finally happened at the end of last month) and I am back in the kitchen to make creme brûlée for my niece’s birthday party tonight. I still remember how to bake in case anyone wondered. Haha! Hope everyone is doing well and surviving this crazy time in our lives. I haven’t yet started writing any cookbooks as I have been focused on my health BUT I do intend to do so at some point and will keep everyone updated. Also, I’m finally getting around to selling leftover equipment and product so if you want to be on the list for the sale please send comment with your email address or PM. Stay safe and well! What are you cooking? How are you mixing it up?

I’m sharing only to give and get ideas of how to keep it fun and exciting! I’d love to hear some of your family favorites and what you have been eating during the quarantine.

I cook all my meals from scratch all the time and have been doing so since I started eating clean about 8 years ago so this hasn’t been hard on me since I’m used to never going out or having fast food. I have heard many people say it’s hard to cook meals and think of what to make. I cook clean for me, muscle food for my bf, gluten free for his son with diabetes and kid friendly nutritious food for his daughter who is super picky. Basically it’s four different versions of a meal at all times. I like to keep things diverse so they aren’t bored and love to dovetail so I’m using leftovers into a new creation.

I’ve done: homemade pizza, patty melts, tacos, breakfast galore, homemade ramen, lasagna, meatloaf, bbq, stir fry, tater tot hot dish, spaghetti, tortilla soup and cornbread, jambalaya, taco salad, nachos, tomato soup and grilled cheese, pepper steak and pierogis, vegetable-beef soup and fresh dinner rolls, thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings, and more......

I sure hope everyone is staying safe and healthy out there. I feel for all the restaurant workers who are now out of work and for everyone else affected as well. My thoughts and gratitude are with all the medical, grocery, delivery and other workers who continue to serve even in this questionable time. Please make wise decisions. Please stay kind. Let’s all try to make the best of these unique times and try to embrace the opportunity to slow down, cook a meal, play a board game, invest in quality time with whom ever you are shut in with. Blessings to you all! 💙

Normally I’d be busy making tons of yummy Valentine treats to stock the shop......strange to have a time of rest before me and that means I’m reminiscing about past creations and favorites that might be included in my cookbook!
