Unpopular opinion: SIFT YOUR FLOUR!! Do it! Seriously. For many years I thought this was an unnecessary step, but since beginning my sourdough journey a few years ago, it makes a huge difference! It breaks up those clumps of flour and makes it so light and fluffy, and so much easier to incorporate when mixing into a dough or batter. I have two large 10q air tight containers for my AP and Bread flours, so when I bring a new bag home, it gets sifted and then put in its container and sealed up. It’s a little detail that only adds a few extra minutes of work, but takes my bread to the next level imo! (And on a rare occasion, has ensured that an icky bag went back to the store instead of getting used 🤢)

I am the most awkward and absolutely hated watching this back to edit 🥴 but whatever… Lets bake some bread! *hoping to make some more video content since I have to slow down on baking for customers. Thinking of sourdough baking/tips and tricks, and maybe some instructional videos for sugar cookies! If you have something you’d like to see drop it here so I can get to work!

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT 📢

The time has come to let my customers know the news, Just Beat It is moving!! I am so sad to say goodbye to my incredible Colorado customers, but I am excited to be closer to family and to bring my treats back to Missouri!

As of right now, I will not be taking anymore new custom cookie orders (if you already have an order secured, don’t worry, you are still on my schedule!). However I will be posting a weekly “specials” menu that will be what is available to order on demand that week, and my sourdough menu will continue to be available as well! If you have something you’d like to see on the specials drop a comment and let me know ⬇️
