Another location checked off the bucket list! ✨🏜️⛳️

LaJitas Golf Resort near Big Bend National Park was absolutely breathtaking.

This two-tier ruffle cake, adorned with handmade gum paste flowers, survived the five-hour drive beautifully and arrived in perfect condition. 🎂🌸

Once I arrived, things got a little interesting! A severe storm had knocked out power across the entire county, and there was virtually no cell service. Despite the unexpected challenges, the team at LaJitas Golf Resort was truly top-notch, going above and beyond to accommodate everyone and ensure the celebration went on seamlessly.

I’m so grateful to have been a small part of such a beautiful day in one of Texas’ most stunning destinations. 🤍

Lubbock Bridal Showcase was an excellent event today! So thankful for the opportunity to visit with so many brides-to-be and hear their beautiful visions for the big day. 🤍
I didn’t get many pictures myself, but my sister snagged these of the Bliss crew in action — and I couldn’t do this without them. They worked so hard today and represented Bliss so well!

This is the hardest cake I’ve ever made—not because of technique, but because of the weight it carries.

This cake was meant to celebrate a little boy turning one today. Instead, it honors a life that met Jesus after just three days on this earth. His parents waited and prayed for so long, nearly losing hope, and then their miracle came—far too briefly.

As I worked, my heart was also heavy for a dear friend who lost her child after years of loving and caring for him through special needs.

And for so many who are still walking the long road of infertility, praying for a miracle of their own.

I weep at the thought of all my friends who have lost so many children and the ones that may never have the chance to be a mother and Father.

This cake may be small, but it holds the grief, love, and unanswered questions of so many walking through seasons they never imagined.

Finally sat down to run the numbers again and y’all… a simple 6” cake cost me $55 today in just ingredients and a delivery box. 🤯
I am mind blown at how expensive basics have gotten. This is heartbreaking — and such a reminder that baking isn’t “just cake,” it’s time, skill, supplies, and lots of love. 🥹💛
