A chocolate chip cookie dough cake for my amazing mother-in-law’s birthday!

This was actually the first time in over two years that I made hand-piped flowers for a cake. I honestly had gotten a little burnt out from making cakes the last two years, as I was only baking orders and not baking for fun. With teaching, welcoming a third baby, and moving, the last two years have also just been pretty busy anyways - I was pretty tired and baking orders ended up becoming just another thing on my list of things to get done. With this cake I was finally able to have complete control over the design, could take my time, and actually enjoyed the whole process again. I’m already excited and thinking about what my next cake will be, and I must say it’s nice to have that feeling back again!
