SPRING/SUMMER 2026
We have an incredible forager who is going out into the deep mountains of North Idaho and bringing us local forest ingredients to make donuts out of all spring and summer. Think everything from Morels to berries, to Fiddlehead Fern. Anything edible and delicious.
The first two donuts in this series were secretly soft-launched last week to a great reception, and will be available in very limited quantities this week (and maybe into next week if supplies last).
No pre-orders, and these won’t be on Doordash. The only way to get one is to come in to Lantern and try them.
We’re also only making about a dozen each day, and depending on the ingredient, they may only be available for 1-3 weeks.
Surprise flavors will be announced as well, and will drop as soon as the forest yields up its next ingredients, so be sure to follow us and get on our VIP email or text list so you never miss a drop!

Fir + Fern
Fir Tip Icing • Candied Fiddlehead Fern and Fir Tips • Fir Tip Whipped Cream
Our local forager went deep into the mountains to handpick fresh fir tips that were just budding out, and the tender tips of the Fiddlehead Fern. Our chef took these beautiful ingredients and turned them into an incredibly fresh donut that smells like a walk in the spring forest, and tastes fresh and sweet.
The Morel
Cold Brew & Coral Mushroom Icing • Candied Morel Mushrooms • Coral Mushroom Powdered Sugar
Morels and Coral mushrooms are some of the first ingredients you can get from the local North Idaho forest in the springtime, and we had to make sure to include these wild ingredients in our first release. We made a cold brew icing from our coffee, infused with Coral Mushrooms, and turned the morels into a deliciously crunchy and mildly sweet candy. Finished with a Coral Mushroom Powdered Sugar we created in house.
