My Story
I was once a student on the path of becoming a Doctor of Psychology and took a right turn on Cake Road. As a kid, I found myself in the kitchen with my mother and grandmother a lot. Baking was something I always enjoyed but it never occurred to me that a career could be made out of it. It was the summer before my first fall semester at University of Central Florida when I realized psychology didnβt make me happy, it just felt like something that was expected of me. Iβve never made an irrational decision in my life, seriously! Everything was always planned. But for some strange reason I decided to drop UCF and apply at Le Cordon Bleu for a degree in Pastry and Baking.
Several months later I became a certified pastry chef and got a job at Lake Mary Cheesecake as a bakerβs assistant. I reapplied for UCF, but this time I would be receiving a Bachelors in Hospitality Management. Within the next 6 years I continuously received one promotion after the other till finally I became the evening bakery manager. I was in charge of baking an average of 10,000 cupcakes a night for Disney World. I graduated at UCF in May of 2018, quit my job and finally became what I had always wanted to be- a mom.
Little Aaron Patrick was born on his due date (like I said, everything is always according to plan with me), July 16th, 2018. My long time wish was being a stay-at-home mom, while also making a bit of income in the company of my own house- thatβs where The Dessert Fairy comes in. Using the skills I acquired during my teachings, I received my business license and the cake orders started coming in. I do not take dessert orders lightly, every part of my being works hard to make sure my customers receive the best treats they have ever tasted.
I hope you consider me, The Dessert Fairy, the next time you need a dessert filled. After all:
