There’s something extra special about baking for family. 💛

I had the pleasure of making my sister’s birthday cake, and of course it had to be lemon—her absolute favorite! 🍋

This cake was made completely from scratch with layers of homemade lemon cake, silky lemon ganache, tangy lemon curd, and my signature cream cheese frosting. Every bite was bursting with fresh lemon flavor!

A huge thank you to the amazing staff at Nitro Kitchen for making her birthday even more special. The service was outstanding, the food was even better, and they truly made the celebration memorable.

To make the day even sweeter, we found out our server was celebrating a birthday too! Of course, we had to share the cake—because birthdays are always better with cake and great company.

Behind every beautiful cake is a frosting that not only tastes amazing… but holds up too!

One of the questions I get asked the most is how I make my cream cheese frosting sturdy enough to stack cakes and create smooth finishes without sacrificing that classic cream cheese flavor.
