Hello Krusty Karen friends and followers🥰 Well, it's been six weeks since Dennis's surgery and he is just about fully recovered. We've had a lot to talk about in the time since. He's made the decision to move up his retirement to the end of this year and I've decided it's time for me to retire as well. It wasn't an easy decision to come to, but I do feel good about it. I've been working since I was 16, so this latest adventure was just the last in a very long line. I've loved these last 4+ years of baking more than you all can know! Every cookie, pie, cupcake and everything in between... thank you for all your support through all of it. I've sold most of my cookie equipment, but not all, just in case I get a wild idea to do a pop up vendor event. Having said all this, you'll have a chance at bidding on my cookies this month for the annual Cloverdale Fire Department Auction. Once again, thank you all for everything!

Good morning everyone... we finally (FINALLY) got pathology results from Dennis's surgery. We are so very relieved to say that it was NOT cancer. I've been procrastinating on posting this week because while I would love to say I'm ready to start taking custom orders again, frankly, I'm exhausted. Dennis is still recovering and it's been a roller coaster of high stress emotionally, physically, & spiritually since last September. Honestly, I don't know when or if I'll start up again. Going through such things makes a person stop and think and right now all I want to do is focus on taking care of us and enjoying the little, simple things. Life is just too short.

Hi there Krusty Karen friends... I'm here in a waiting room at IU University Hospital. Dennis made it through surgery just fine this morning. I'll spare you the gory details, but the surgeon was pleased with how it all went. Now we wait on pathology results, which take about a week. Hopefully that will give me a better idea of when I might be able to start taking orders again. Right now I'm just so grateful he's gotten through surgery with no complications! Thank you all for your support❤️

We're back in Florida from a very chilly but great 5-day cruise. Temps didn't reach 80, and most of the time it barely reached 70. We missed CoCo Cay because it was too windy to dock, but it sure beats what we're coming home to! Back to reality and meeting with Dennis's surgeon this next week.

Good morning❤️... there are two parts to my post.... #1) I hope you all are staying warm and safe in this very unusual winter weather! I gotta say though, Dennis & I are having major deja vu, because THIS my friends, is what a regular Minnesota winter is! Aren't you glad this isn't typical here??😁
#2) Late in December, after several tests and scans, we found out Dennis has a tumor that is suspected to be cancer and is scheduled for surgery in February. Luckily, his oncology surgeon is letting us keep our vacation, but we'll be right in the thick of everything when we get back. All that being said, it's just best for me to suspend taking any new orders at least until we get through his surgery and we get more answers. Holly Goss, I know I committed to the Fire Department Auction in April, so I'll keep that if I possibly can. Anyone else that has a standing order through February, you're good! All those orders are done and in my freezer. I appreciate all of you so much and hope I can get back to what I love doing soon. I'll keep you all posted❤️❤️❤️❤️
