Such a fun time teaching our local 4-H cake decorating crew today! 💚

All three girls did an outstanding job listening, learning, and practicing their decorating skills as they each created a cake following the Kentucky State Fair competition guidelines.

Judging was based on the official State Fair rules, and each cake had its own strengths. In the end, the cake that most closely met the competition guidelines earned the opportunity to advance to the Kentucky State Fair.

Congratulations, Karrigan! We are so proud of you and wish you the very best at State Fair. And to all three girls—thank you for your hard work, positive attitudes, and willingness to learn. You should each be proud of what you accomplished today. It was a pleasure working with you all today. ❤️ 🎂

When the birthday girl says she wants a candy cake… you give her ALL the candy! 🍭🍬

This fun cake was made for a sweet girl celebrating her 8th birthday. Two layers of rich yummy chocolate cake, covered in a light blue vanilla buttercream, finished with a pink chocolate drip, and topped with every colorful candy I could fit! I couldn’t resist adding a few little hidden faces with googly eyes just for fun. 👀😊

This one was all about candy, color, and celebrating a little girl who knew exactly what she wanted. I hope her birthday was every bit as sweet as her cake! 🎉🎂

This three-tier wedding cake featured:
🍓 Bottom tier: Strawberry cake with strawberry lemonade filling
🫐🍋 Middle tier: Lemon blueberry cake with homemade lemon curd filling
🤍 Top tier: French vanilla cake

Finished with silky vanilla buttercream, delicate boho florals, and hand-painted edible gold splatter for just the right touch of elegance.

Wow!!!

What started with a simple invitation from Melissa at Stephen's Flower Truck turned into a week of long hours, lots of chicken salad, cupcakes and more orders than we anticipated for our first event. 🎉

Melissa’s idea to collaborate, encourage, and support another small business created an opportunity that blessed us both in ways we never expected. I am excited about a new friendship, encouragement and working together.
