🍂 FALL FARM FEST CANCELED 🍂

Well, maybe saying “rain or shine” was a little ambitious! ☔

Unfortunately, Mother Nature has other plans for us this weekend. With rain now forecasted throughout the entire day, we regret to announce that Fall Farm Fest scheduled for Saturday, October 10, has been canceled.

We were holding out hope that the rain would wait until later in the afternoon, but it looks like it's going to be a washout!

We are currently exploring options for rescheduling and will share an update as soon as we have more information. If we are unable to reschedule, all pre-purchased tickets will be refunded.

We know so many of you were looking forward to this event, and we are just as disappointed as you are!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support of Whitaker Farms. ❤️🍁

Stay tuned for updates, and stay dry this weekend!

🍓 Next year’s strawberry crop starts NOW! 🍓

We’ve been working hard the last few weeks getting 12 acres of strawberries ready for the 2027 season — and there’s a lot that happens before those first berries are ready to pick in April!

It all starts with tiny strawberry tips that we plant in soil and thoroughly care for in our greenhouse until they develop into strong plants with strong roots.

Meanwhile, out in the fields, we’re preparing all 12 acres:
🚜 Preparing the beds for planting

🍓 Laying plastic to help control weeds and conserve moisture
💧 Installing irrigation to every row for watering and fertilizing

🌱 And finally, getting each strawberry plant into the ground!

Then we’ll spend the next several months caring for them through the winter and early spring.

And we have some exciting news for our strawberry lovers — we’ve expanded our Pick-Your-Own strawberry field this year! That means even more room for families to come out, fill their baskets and enjoy picking fresh strawberries right from the field.

It’s a whole lot of work for a berry that disappears in a couple of bites! But come April 2027, we hope these fields will be loaded with beautiful, sweet Whitaker Farms strawberries.

The countdown to strawberry season has officially begun! 🍓❤️
