So I came across a a pound cake recipe on YouTube. This lady told the tale of how the Pound cake name originated from a four ingredient recipe and everyone ingredient weighs a pound.
1 lb of flour (3.3 cups)
1 lb of sugar (2 cups)
1 lb of butter (4 sticks)
1 lb of eggs (6-8 eggs)
These ingredients may vary depending on the weight of the ingredients. And of course you are going to add which ever flavors you deem necessary. I used vanilla bean paste, butter emulsion and a tiny bit of lemon emulsion. Oh and salt (1/4 teaspoon) and baking powder (1/2 teaspoon).
I feel like this is a pound cake, the mothers of the movement fed to Dr. Martin Luther King.

P. S. I have yet to cut the cake yet but it smells amazing. I’ll let you know, later, in the comments.
