Okay friends… we need to talk. 🥹🤎

There have been some BIG changes happening behind the scenes at Homegrown.

My oldest decided last week that he wanted to go to public school for kindergarten instead of homeschooling, and my brave little guy officially started last week. And while we were already adjusting to that huge change, I also accepted a new position as a travel planner with an amazing company!✨

Because of all of this, I’ve made the decision to start slowly stepping back from the bakery. This is honestly a really bittersweet decision.

I love Homegrown. I love baking. I love creating things from scratch. I love seeing people come back week after week. I love the customers who have become familiar faces. And I will forever be grateful for the incredible support you’ve given me and my little family these last 2 years. 🤍

But baking on this scale is HARD on my body. The hours of standing, lifting, mixing, shaping, baking, packaging, loading and unloading… it adds up, especially when I’m doing most of by myself or only with the help of my husband (who works hard enough as it is 🥲). And lately, I’ve found myself spending entire days baking and then being so exhausted and sore that I don’t have much left for my boys.

And that’s not how I want to spend this season of my life. So I’m choosing them.

I’m choosing more time with my boys, more energy, and the opportunity to enjoy this new chapter instead of constantly feeling like I’m running on empty.

I still have several large events already booked through the end of the year, so Homegrown isn’t going away completely!! I’ll be focusing on those larger events while I begin my new job and soon I’ll slowly stop custom orders and bake stand days.

Which brings us to September! 👀🥐

The tent is at half height today to try and keep it from blowing away with the crazyyyyy wind 🙃 So if you stop by today here’s your warning to watch your head lol once you’re inside there’s plenty of room to stand up though 😅

I did a lighter bake today since I am also prepping for my son’s birthday party tomorrow, so quantities are limited!!

Is it just me or how august is already here??

Tracking time is impossible lately, I spent all day yesterday caring for a lost horse 😅 BUT we have a super fun month lined up! We’re doing a mix of brewery popups, local markets, and our bake stand days (all the addresses and times are on the graphics!) I’ll be taking off the third week of August because my oldest baby will be turning 5! 🥹

Just a quick heads up for the bake stand, it’s totally self serve and we accept pretty much all forms of payment! I’ll definitely have extra goodies stocked on the shelves for anyone who wants to browse, but if you want to skip the line or just make sure your absolute favorites don’t sell out, definitely head to the link in our bio and snag a preorder early!!

✨ By very popular demand, the bake stand will be OPEN again this Sunday 7/26! ✨

Come stock up on fresh sourdough breads, pastries, and provisions from our self-serve bake stand! Everything is made from scratch with sourdough, 15% freshly milled flour, and organic ingredients. 🤍

Because of the heat, we’ll be open:
🕰️ 8–11 AM & 3–6 PM
We’ll close to cool everything down, give the kids a nap, then restock and reopen at 3!

🤞🏼 If all goes as planned, the mini fridge will be stocked with take & bake cookie dough, compound butters, and active sourdough starter, while pastries and cookies will stay chilled in the cooler. Keep an eye out for the big blue OPEN flag so you’ll know where we are and when the stand is open!

I’ve also lowered prices on almost everything, all listed below so you’ll can plan ahead! I know we’re a little off the beaten path, and if you’re willing to make the drive out to support our little family bakery and homestead, I’m so incredibly grateful. I wanted to make the trip worth it 🏡🤍
