Tomorrow we’re open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, because despite grocery prices looking like they were set by a committee of raccoons, everybody still has to eat.

🐷🥓 Today’s lesson: Food doesn’t just magically appear at the restaurant.

Today we took the kiddos by Oak Valley Meat Processing so they could see where the sausage and pork tenderloin we serve at Three Heifers and a Hotplate is processed.

No, they didn’t go inside for a tour, but we wanted them to see that every biscuit, plate of gravy, and pork tenderloin starts with a whole lot of hardworking people long before it ever reaches our kitchen.

One of the things we’re most proud of is supporting local businesses whenever possible. When we buy from places like Oak Valley, we’re not just purchasing ingredients—we’re helping support local farmers, local families, local jobs, and our local economy. Those dollars stay right here in our communities instead of being sent halfway across the country.

We think it’s important for our kiddos to understand where food comes from and to appreciate the people who work every day to raise, process, transport, and prepare it. Good food doesn’t happen by accident—it takes an entire community.

And through it all, we’re reminded of God’s provision. It’s easy to take a meal for granted, but every plate starts with the blessings He’s provided—good land, hardworking hands, and a community that supports one another. We are thankful for the farmers, processors, truck drivers, cooks, and everyone in between who help put food on our tables.

And let’s be honest, most kids think sausage is born in a grocery store package and biscuits come from a can. 😏

We’re grateful for local farmers, grateful for local businesses like Oak Valley, and grateful for a God who continues to bless our family, our restaurant, and this community.

🚨 A little life happened this morning, y’all. 🚨

We had a small family emergency come up, so we’ll be opening a little later than planned today. We expect to have the doors open by 7:30 AM.

Everyone is okay, but family comes first sometimes, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while we get everything squared away.

The good news? We WILL be open today, serving up breakfast, coffee, lunch, and all the things that make mornings and days a little more bearable. ☕🥓🍳

Well… y’all did it again.

You wiped us out tonight! 🐄❤️

Between all of you showing up and Mother Nature deciding to throw us a curveball, we ended up closing a little earlier than planned. The rain rolled in, and then the power decided it wanted the night off too. ⚡️🌧️

We hate that some of you may not have gotten the chance to stop by before we had to close, but we are incredibly grateful for the support.

And the best part? We were only 5 meals short of reaching our goal of 100 donated meals today. ❤️ Because of every customer who came through our doors, we were able to put 95 meals on our Pay It Forward board for our community.

That is something worth celebrating.

Thank you for keeping us busy, keeping our staff working, helping feed our families, and allowing us to give back to others during a time when so many people need a helping hand.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow, hopefully with full fridges, full power, and a little less excitement from the weather. 😉

Today isn’t just about serving food—it’s about serving our community. ❤️

Starting at 5 PM tonight, we’ll be hosting our Pay What You Can Dinner right here at Three Heifers and a Hotplate.

So far today, we’ve been able to donate 30 meals to our Pay It Forward Board, but we’re aiming much higher. Our goal is to reach 100 donated meals by 8 PM, and we’d love your help getting there.

Every meal purchased today helps us put another meal on the board for someone who may be going through a tough season. Some days you’re the one able to give, and some days you’re the one who needs a little help—and there’s no shame in either.

Tonight, if you need a meal, come eat. If you’re able to give a little extra, know that it will go right back into helping your neighbors.

We’ve always believed that a restaurant should be more than a place to eat—it should be a place where community happens.

Come see us from 5 PM–8 PM. Let’s fill some tables, feed some families, and see if we can hit that 100-meal goal together. ❤️
