A simple act of kindness...

I was watching two women in electric wheelchairs navigate up the center of the busy Clermont Farmers Market, carefully trying to maneuver against the crowd. It was clear they were struggling at times to clear a path. Just as I was about to step in and help, a Good Samaritan stepped up and cleared the way for them.

It made me reflect on how challenging simple tasks can be without a little help. Choosing to make a difference in someone’s day can be as simple as helping them clear a path. Help each other out—it always makes the world a little brighter. ❤️

To put things in perspective: our sourdough starter was born in the mid-1850s. That means it was alive before the lightbulb, before the telephone, and long before cars hit the road.

Through 34 U.S. presidents, two World Wars, and nearly two centuries of history, this resilient culture has been carefully kept alive, nurtured, and passed down. Today, it brings that deep, unmatched flavor and time-tested heritage to every hand-rolled, honey-water blanched Montreal-style bagel we bake.

Not bad for a 170-year-old starter wearing a tiny party hat and reading glasses! 🎂🕯️
