We have been MIA visiting cute towns, donkey rescue ranches, splashing in water, eating ice cream, playing pickleball, shopping, and having the best outdoor picnics. Our family took one last vacation before kicking back into school.
Because of family fun, we will not have any porch sales, customs, or markets this coming weekend. Stay tuned for future updates and what is going on behind the scenes.

Time for some transparency.
As many and most of you know. I am a small batch cottage baker out of Cleburne. I love to serve my community, and those at the market. While I have been at the market in Burleson less than desired, I do have to share my why.

As you all know I am home educating my 3 children. They are 3, 7 and 11. We start school back this week. My primary role is wife and mother and a baker. My husband, works from home most weeks, but also travels for work. Somehow his work load consists of all travel through the entire month of August. While this is not normal, it means I am full time mom. My kids needs and priorities come first. Any chance of family time will be weekends only while he comes home to reload for the next trip out of town. It is not enough time for me to bake all week, teach my kids, keep the home, and be at the market on Saturdays. I am hopeful to attend the last weekend in August. Until then, I am taking custom orders, doing porch pop ups and baking what time allows.

I thank you for continuing to support my business even if I cannot make it to the market right now. Every order is supporting my family and helping me to continue doing what I love: both being a mom and a baker.

On that note, the following is available this Saturday on the porch.

Running this small business came from my desire and heart to serve and love my community. God has placed a spirit of hospitality within me that gets filled by bringing joy to others. Sometimes it looks like serving breakfast to my own family, sharing a treat with a friend, making a meal for a new mom, baking a cake for a soon to be new mom. It fills me up and brings me deep joy and thankfulness to do these things. My desire will always be to serve God faithfully. In my home, in my church, and in my community. It’s a partnership I get to enjoy. Today was a small cookie, nothing extravagant, nothing extreme, or even super fancy. The love behind it, is not mine to claim. I am just the vessel that The Lord chose to use to accomplish His will. The dough was made ahead and frozen. I didn’t know why at the time I made all of these cookies. I just did it. When the call came for a possible ministry opportunity to serve the youth in my area, and to partner with the kingdom. I knew immediately that the cookie dough was for a time such as that. The answer was an easy yes. This is my desire and the why behind Sweet P's Bakery. To serve those around me and to shine the light of Jesus; within my home, and beyond.
To a Tea Events is doing great things in our community and what better way to serve our local youth than to feed them, pour into them, offer them a safe place to worship and learn about their Heavenly Father. Laura Dieppa-Santiago thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and showing us how to follow in step. I’m proud to know you and call you my sister. May the Lord continue using you and may you always say yes to His plan. Well done, friend!

We had a fun morning visiting some wonderful vendors. First time trying Teddy's Treats, Dub's Delights , Keenegrabanddough and had to pay a visit to my favorite kid entrepreneur Slime Joy.

If you’ve not checked these small businesses out, please do so. The people behind the business are what make supporting local all worth it. Hearing their stories, seeing their smiles, and trying their products, and knowing the effort put in to every event, every order, is inspiring.
