If you've driven down Main Street in Clayton and not stopped at Burney's Sweets & More, I need you to fix that.

It's a woman owned bakery on Main Street in Clayton, and the case alone is worth the trip: cakes, pastries, and the croissant donuts people drive off I-95 for. The kind of place where the recipes have been in the family a lot longer than the building has.

You know I have a soft spot for family businesses. It's how I run mine, and Johnston County does them especially well. Bonus: my office is right next door- come visit me!!
