These types of incidents happen more often than we think. Usually we laugh it off and move on. The thing is this is someone's special day, party, event. They don't get a do over. You will never get that time back. You've spent your hard earned money and if you are like me you have stressed over every detail, lost sleep, saved your money, and got so nervous on the way to pick up your cake you are worn out by the time the party starts. The smiles on our special person's face makes all of the fretting worth it. I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday. It was the kind with the picture. When I picked it up the picture was cut through his face, still placed on the cake, and they tried to sell it to me that way. I said no way will I pay 60 dollars for a cake that isn't what I ordered and not done properly. It was a huge mess. I decided then and there I will never buy a cake from a retailer again. I have always rather supported small businesses anyway. I prefer people I know. My promise to you is that I will tell you when you order from me that I make delicious cakes but I'm not an expert at decorating. I can make them pretty and do simple designs and styles but the more advanced stuff not yet. I'm still learning. I will tell you that before you order a cake from me or pay a deposit. If I mess it up... I'll redo it until it's right at my cost or pay to order you the cake you wanted to begin with. PTL I've never had to do that but I would. Word of mouth is everything and I don't want to let anyone that would trust me with their special event down. Give me a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Let me tell you about my cake experience with Walmart 🙄. Holly had her birthday party last night, and I told everyone I wanted to handle the cake. I ordered a really cool Wicked-themed cake from Buckeye Bakery, which is where I normally get cakes because they’re always amazing. But Holly prefers whipped icing, and Walmart is the only place I know that makes it that way, so I decided to get her two cakes.

When I went to Walmart, I asked if they had Wicked decorations. The employee said yes and showed me the decoration book. I said those looked good and told her to use those. She asked what color icing I wanted, and I said Wicked themed. She suggested doing half pink and half green, which worked perfectly since that’s what the other cake would look like too. I asked her to put the Wicked decorations on top and write “Happy Birthday Holly.” She said no problem.

I wasn’t feeling very well, so I sent Jaden to pick up the cake. He grabbed it but didn’t check it since it was boxed and you couldn’t see through the top. Later when I opened it at home, I just started laughing 😂😂. I have no idea how someone looked at that cake and thought, “Yep, this looks great. My job here is done.” It wasn’t even centered 🙄. I almost considered writing on the green part myself, “Walmart gave zero effort.”

And now March 4th will forever be known as Happy Holly Birthday 😂😂🤦‍♀️

I AM STARTING A BUSINESS VENTURE!!! My husband, kids, family, and friends have been telling me for years that I need to open a restaurant, a bakery or do this with food or that. Well I'm stepping out on faith and doing the thing!!

'She's Got Cakes' is coming to a vendor fair near you but in the meantime I'll be putting together sample boxes. Yes SAMPLE!! Below I've created a menu with 4 dessert options and you will get to pick 3 for your sample box. These are mini samples not full servings. I will only be offering 15 sample boxes this go around. But if you want to place an order for a full or half size that can be arranged and time and date can be discussed. With the sampling I will meet you somewhere or you can come to my home and pick them up. They will be ready Saturday March the 21st between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. for pick up. If you need to meet that will have to be on Sunday March 22 but everyone will have a designated place and time so I'm not riding around all day.

I am not liable for your allergies!! If you have food allergies please request ingredients before hand.

Everything is scratch baked down to the frostings, icings, and I offer a wide variety from butter cream, whipped, mousse, cream cheese, Swiss meringue, the list goes on!

Please DM me to place your order. I will need your phone number, your choices, and your preferred pick up/delivery meet up option and time. I will call to confirm and if you do not answer or call back your order will be subject to be cancelled seeing how this is free. I'm going to start taking orders today and when I get 15 I'll be updating the post. This is first come first serve bases. If I have extra I will reach out and offer them in the order your request was received.
