🩷🎤Honoring a Legend🩷🎤

We join the rest of the world in mourning the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton today.

While millions knew her as a country music icon, philanthropist, and force of nature, we’ll always hold onto a very special piece of history right here in our hometown of Claxton, Georgia.

Back in the 1️⃣9️⃣7️⃣0️⃣s, Claxton Fruit Cake helped host Dolly for a concert fundraiser at Pinewood Christian Academy along with Porter Wagoner. There were many icons that sang on the stage at PCA in the 80's and 90's.🧡💚 Porter and Dolly came together January 13, 1972 and Dolly came alone January 11, 1975.

These photos capture that unforgettable night—Paul Parker, VP of Claxton Bakery, Inc., alongside Dolly in the very outfit she wore during her Pinewood performance (the same iconic outfit and concert poster that are now preserved in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville).

Dolly brought light, laughter, and unbelievable talent wherever she went. 🌟🌟

We are so proud to have been a small part of her journey and to hold onto this precious memory. Rest in peace, true legend.
