I just HAD to share this with you guys 🥹☺️

I was going through old pictures and found the very FIRST cake inspiration/order ticket I ever made for a cake that someone actually PAID me for‼️😳

Before this, I had basically spent an entire year making cakes for practice and giving them away to my neighbors. Over and over and over. And over. And over.

Then one of my neighbors finally told me my cakes were way too good to keep giving away — and she actually ordered one from me! Ahhh! I was so nervous. 😬

This was that order.

And now, naturally, I’m about to go on a deep dive through nearly 7 years of photos to find the picture of the actual cake I made. 😂 I’m sure it’ll be mildly terrifying by today’s standards, but you have to start somewhere!!! …and this was literally Day 1️⃣

It’s kind of crazy looking at this little handwritten piece of paper and thinking about how much has changed in almost 7 years 😮‍💨

Back then, Hey, Sweet Cakes! was barely more than an idea — a dream I decided to put into motion. I had absolutely no idea what it would eventually become.

And that part is because of YOU❣️♥️

Every order. Every recommendation. Every person who shared one of my cakes, tagged my page, came back for another birthday, trusted me with a wedding, or told someone, “You need to call my cake lady.” 🥹

Because of your support over all these years, I’ve been able to keep growing, keep creating, and keep doing something I genuinely love — making your special days a little sweeter❣️
