It's been over two years, and my 'break' with Frosted has now become permanent. I did not renew my license this spring and I have closed my little bakery.

I wanted to pop back on here before I shut down this page to thank you all once again for your love and support over the past 11 years. I sincerely miss you and creating cakes for your celebrations.

However, I am embarking a new career path as a freelance writer. I love writing and research. Over the past two years I have explored taking my creativity in this new direction. Since stepping away from Frosted, I have been a columnist for a community newspaper, started a history blog, and enjoyed writing content for local organizations. Know someone who is gluten free? Frosted is having it's first Gluten Free Bake Sale for Valentine's Day! Order today by 5:00 p.m. for Tuesday pickup/delivery and by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday for Wednesday pick up/delivery.Everything will be made fresh and pick up/delivery is to Clarks Summit only. All items are gluten free!

I'm excited to share with you something new I've been wanting to try. This Valentine's Day, Frosted is offering gluten free cupcakes and cookies for sale!

We will have vanilla or chocolate gluten free cupcakes with vanilla buttercream as well as frosted heart shaped gluten free sugar cookies and gluten free chocolate chip cookies.

Cupcakes are $15 for a 1/2 dozen and $27 for a dozen. Chocolate Chip Coookies are $9 for a 1/2 dozen and $15 for a dozen .
Frosted Heart Sugar Cookies are $12 for a 1/2 dozen and $20 for a dozen.

Everything is gluten free and nut free. The frosted heart shaped cookies are also dairy free. Please note that Frosted is not a dedicated gluten free kitchen but that every effort is made to avoid cross contamination.

Our "Ring-in-the-New-Year" Pop Up Bake Sale is happening now! Message me here on FB or text/call 570-561-5478 to get cupcakes or cake for your New Year's party!

Cupcakes are $25 a dozen. I have chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and salted caramel drizzle and vanilla chocolate chip cupcakes with vanilla buttercream and mini chocolate chips. You can get a dozen of either flavor or split the dozen 1/2 and 1/2.

Cakes are $45 each. Chocolate cake with salted caramel filling, frosted in creamy vanilla buttercream and caramel drizzle. Decorated with edible gold dust and gold dragees. -or- Vanilla chocolate chip cake with vanilla buttercream and chopped chocolate chip cookies filling. Frosted in creamy vanilla buttercream, edged in mini chocolate chips and topped with chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate ganache 'Happy new Year' message.

Merry Christmas!

Your love and support over the past few months as I took a 'step back' from the cake business has been amazing. Thank you for understanding and giving me the space to sort things out.

And now, a little transparency. Bear with me, this will be long...

For the past few years I have been dealing with several health issues. I was diagnosed with a degenerative disc disease after months of pain. The discs in my back are prone to bulge and herniate. Physical Therapy has been a life saver and I couldn't have done all that Frosted and my crazy life demands without the help of the wonderful therapists at Viewmont Physical Therapy. That being said, with the continuous work of rolling out fondant, bent over a table doing intricate decorations for cakes or cupcakes, carrying heavy and tall cakes back and forth from my table to our commercial refrigerator and then delivering them each weekend to many of you... well, it took its toll. This summer, I experienced another setback with my back and was in a lot of pain. I considered hiring help but it just isn't feasible at this time.

Another issue is that I also discovered a little while ago that I am allergic to gluten. Although Celiac disease hasn't been confirmed, it hasn't been ruled out. For a while, I had to wear a mask and gloves to prepare my cakes. As you know, one of the things I have loved about my job is inventing new flavors for you all to try. Almost all of my cake recipes are my own, developed in what I have called 'Frosted's Test Kitchen'. But since I have this allergy, Frosted's test kitchen (meaning me) wasn't able to test my inventions. Trustworthy friends and family generously volunteered to be my taste testers, but (sigh) it isn't the same. And it certainly complicated things for me as my entire business is about baked goods.

Although it was a difficult decision, I think it is necessary for my health and well being that for now, I no longer provide wedding and event cakes. I won't be taking any custom orders and will only be selling small cake and cupcake orders through 'pop up sales' here on my page. Any clients with contracted orders for event cakes in 2018 have been contacted by me and will be taken care of, but I will not be receiving new clients. In the meantime I am pursuing other things and considering what the future holds for Frosted.

I'm sorry this was so long, but I thought you needed to know where I was at and what you can expect from Frosted in the future.

I am so honored to have been part of your weddings, parties and celebrations over so many years. You all are near and dear to my heart. Thank you again for all of your support!

Chocolate raspberry cake has four layers of our moist chocolate cake, raspberry filling and a cream cheese chocolate chip layer. 8" tall cake is frosted in our famous buttercream and topped with chocolate ganache and edible holly fondant decoration. $40

Chocolate cupcakes with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting. One dozen topped with a bit of edible fondant holly. $25

Egg Nog Cake comes with three layers of egg nog cake and two layers of egg nog cream filling - our customer favorite this time of year. 8" tall cake is topped with delicious egg nog cream frosting and edible glitter snowflakes. $40

Egg Nog Cupcakes with delicious creamy egg nog frosting. One dozen topped with edible glitter snowflakes. $25

Hello and Happy Fall! Just a quick update to let you know I am not taking any new orders at this time and will take a few months off due to health reasons. During this sabbatical I am considering the direction that Frosted will take after the first of the year. I am so blessed to have you not only as customers, but dear friends.
