We specialize in breads, muffins, cookies, and cakes, with both traditional favorites and organic, clean-ingredient options available. We are currently in the process of obtaining our home bakery license and look forward to soon sharing our bakes straight from our kitchen to your table. If you know me, you know I LOVE experimenting with recipes. I’m constantly tweaking old recipes, trying new ones, and seeing if I can make them just a little bit better.
And over the years, I’ve probably tried 100+ chocolate chip cookie recipes. They’re all pretty similar in some ways, but I think I’ve finally landed on my perfect chocolate chip cookie.
And don’t worry — if you loved my cookies before, I think you’re going to love them even more now.
I made two little changes to my original recipe that made a big difference:

Brown butter + sourdough.

The brown butter gives the cookies this incredible deep, caramel-like flavor, while the sourdough adds just the right little bit of tang to balance out the sweetness.
Together? They are SO good. The flavors just work.
So if you get a box of chocolate chip cookies from me this week, let me know what you think! I’d genuinely love to hear whether you notice the difference.

Another Friday drop at Zacherl's Farm Market & Greenhouse.

I just dropped off a fresh batch of bread, cookies, muffins, buns, and some other goodies—and if you’re looking for all things fall, Zacherl’s is the place to be!

I also just want to take a moment to say how thankful I am for the Zacherl family. Bud and Jessica Tenfelde Zacherl are truly some of the most honest, kind, and good-hearted people I have had the blessing of doing business with. Supporting a local family business is wonderful, but getting to work with people who genuinely care about others makes it so much better. I really admire how intentional they are about the quality they bring to our community—not only in what they grow themselves, but in what they choose to bring into their market, because the high standards they hold themselves to are a true reflection of their character.

So if you’re stopping by this weekend, grab some fresh produce or fall goodies.

A little taste of fall made its way to Hollenbaugh's Hometown Meat market this week!

I made my weekly drop this morning with all of the usual favorites, along with two fall specials: Apple Cinnamon Muffins and Pumpkin Crumb Cake Muffins.

While I was there, I was reminded just how thankful I am for Chad and Darlene Hollenbaugh and Alecia Marie.

They are a small business that truly supports other small businesses. By making room in their store for local bakers, makers, and other small businesses, they help give us an opportunity to share our products with our community. That kind of support means so much.

It’s one of the reasons Hollenbaugh’s is such a great local business to support. When you shop there, you’re supporting their family and their business, but you’re also helping support the many other local businesses they choose to encourage and build up along the way.

Thank you, Darlene and Chad, for continuing to invest in our local community and for giving small businesses like mine a place to grow.

Just dropped off almost 100 items at Zacherl's Farm Market & Greenhouse .

There’s a little bit of everything today — fresh bread, garlic knots, fudge brownies, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, peanut butter cookies, double chocolate cookies, double chocolate muffins, blueberry muffins, and angel food cakes.

And if you haven’t been out to the farm stand lately, you definitely need to stop in. They have beautiful mums and gourds, delicious apples, and so much fresh, local produce.

With Labor Day weekend right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to stop by and pick up some goodies for your weekend gatherings, or just grab something homemade to enjoy at home.

Support your local farmers, shop small, and enjoy all the goodness this time of year has to offer!

As summer starts winding down and my kids head back to school in just two weeks, I’ve decided to take the next couple of weeks off from baking.

I want to soak up these last days of summer with my kids and spend as much time together as I can before our school routine begins again.

So, Daily Bread Bakehouse will be taking a little two-week break from baking.

I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I truly appreciate your patience and understanding! I’m so thankful for each and every one of you who supports my little bakery and allows me to do what I love.

I’ll be back to baking and filling your orders after these two weeks, and I’m already looking forward to getting back in the kitchen!

Thank you for supporting Daily Bread Bakehouse and, even more importantly, for understanding why I’m choosing to pause for a little while.

I just stocked Zacherl's Farm Market & Greenhouse with a BIG load of delicious baked goodies—and this time, I brought something new!

THICK & FUDGY BROWNIES
These are rich, super chocolatey, and fudgy with just a hint of espresso. If you’re a chocolate lover, you’re going to want to try these!

And I didn’t stop there… I brought over 500 cookies, plus fresh bread, muffins, garlic knots, angel food cakes, brownies, and more!

While you’re at there, be sure to check out all the amazing fresh produce they have right now— watermelon, corn, cantaloupe, cherries, blueberries, romaine lettuce, and SO much more!
