Lengthy post incoming.
My business is shifting a bit. I'm finding myself taking on more and more special orders and having less time to do the farmer's market for a variety of reasons. The next scheduled event for me is Nov 14th at the New Bethlehem fire hall. Originally I thought I would be doing the farmer's market on Oct 24th but that week is nearly filled with special orders (which I'm extremely grateful for!) so now I'm uncertain if I will do that one.This Saturday I have another engagement as well.
I realize that many people looked forward to my pies each week at the market but it makes more sense for me to bake pies that are already sold rather than guess what people want and have leftover product go to waste. ( I mean worse case scenario my chickens get dessert, but you get the point)
I am working to set up a more convenient way to contact me as well. Currently folks are messaging me on Facebook for special orders but this is extremely unreliable and not secure. Email seems too slow to communicate back and forth like a normal conversation but I'm not interested in taking phone calls all day either when I really need to be baking. Nor do I really want my personal phone number given out the public. I'm open to suggestions on this topic. I think I need your help Cynthia Sciandra
Lastly I hope to set up a rewards program soon. Basically your 10th pie would be free. Some of you are already on your 8th pie!! This should be fairly simple to track on my hotplate app but I need to work out the details. I'd like to roll out something similar for slices at the market with a punch card.
So if I seem a little quiet on here, just know I'm working on it. Thanksgiving is around the corner and there's alot to get in order before the biggest pie day of the year.
