Gen8 Scout II Production & Pricing Update

The original plan was to announce the Gen8 price on November 15th, the date the first shipment was scheduled to leave the factory. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen delays, the first shipment will not leave until late November or early December. Since container shipping takes 30-40 days, we expect the first Gen8’s to arrive at Redcat in late December or early to mid January. We expect quantities will be very limited for some period of time.

We had always planned to announce the Gen8 during the SEMA show at the end of October, and even with production delays we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to showcase the Gen8 at such a premier event. However, we understand how our fans are frustrated with knowing about such an exciting new vehicle so early, but not knowing when they can buy it, or how much it will cost.

We want to make the Gen8 perfect for you. So we’ve made the hard choice to delay final production until every conceivable detail could meet our high standards on the Gen8. Everything has to be just right.

There’s been a lot of conjecture about what the consumer price of the Gen8 will be. So to satisfy the many Redcat, and scale crawler enthusiasts, we are announcing that the Gen8 Scout II will be available for $299.99!

Please note that a few months ago we changed the way prices are displayed on redcatracing.com. In the past, the website would show the MSRP, and you would find Redcat vehicles priced lower direct from dealers. This method has since changed to where the Redcat website now shows a “FROM” price and consumers can no longer purchase vehicles direct from the Redcat website as we want everyone to buy direct from our excellent network of Redcat dealers. The $299.99 price is the lowest price that you will find a Redcat Gen8..
