hi! i miss you all! i've recently started making cookies for family and friends again. the plan is to re-open kate's confections as a cottage (home) bakery in september! i can't wait to be back. 🫶

About two years ago, I quietly shut down my bakery. This took place for several reasons; inflation caught me off guard, I don't have enough space in my home, and I would like to become a licensed bakery before re-opening. I was operating under cottage food laws, and it limits what I'm able to sell. I still receive messages and emails often about orders, so I wanted to let everyone know, yes, I am unfortunately still closed. When the stars align, I'll be back. I think about it day and night, as it is my dream. I'll share a compilation of photos to show what I have been up to for the past two years. I'm still here, and I'll be back in business as soon as possible. Thank you for all of the love and support over the years. You all have given me the gift of ambition. I couldn't do it without you.

life update: recently, I've been cookieing a bit less to accomplish some other things in my life.. my dad and I have been renovating his kitchen for the past two months and I'm working at my restaurant job more these days. my goal is to have a cookie space (whether it's a cookie room, a renovated garage, or basement) in the next year. my kitchen where I'm currently living is soooo small 🤣 I'm making do with what I can for the moment, but boy am I ready for a change! I will have a menu coming in the future with pricing and flavors. thank you all for supporting me in the beginning stages of my small business. I appreciate each and every one of you 💙
