Whenever I disappear on social media one of three things are happening…

1. I’m questioning if posting regularly is even worth it.
2. I’m overwhelmed with the noise social media brings into my life.
3. I am too busy to care.
Bonus #4 it’s a mixture of all these things 😭

Social can be exhausting and I never want it to compromise the quality of my work - trying to put together the perfect picture of my work or record a 10 second video because society has lost our ability to focus for more than 15-20 seconds. 😳😬

Remember it’s okay to take breaks even if you love your work and the vibe of sharing online. Breaks are necessary even from social & posting.

Meanwhile I’m over here creating mini tiny taco cupcake toppers out of white chocolate like this is completely normal behavior.

I meant to post these days ago but home bakery life has been nonstop lately and I still couldn’t let this set go unshared because honestly… these were way too fun to make. 🤍

Okay but seriously…which one are you grabbing first? The taco cupcakes or the cake? 👀

🎯 The fastest way to perfect your baking…temperature control!

I struggled with the consistency of my oven temp and often felt frustrated when I baked something at the same temperature and time and it still came out under or overcooked.

If you’re trying to improve your baking skills at home or in your business, using a baking thermometer is one of the easiest (and most overlooked) tools to level up your results. While most people focus on oven temperature, the real magic happens when you start tracking the internal and surface temperature of your baked goods. 🍞💡

Whether you’re baking bread, cakes, cookies, frosting, or filling, knowing when your bake is actually done helps you avoid underbaking, overbaking, and dry textures.

I’ve been using the infrared CDN thermometer sent to me by , and it’s a total game-changer. Placing it against a candy thermometer, just for comparison, I found the CDN infrared thermometer to be more accurate in assessing the temp. It’s simple, accurate, and takes the guesswork out of baking. 🙌🏾

✨ Here are some temps I’ve found work every time:
— Cake + Cupcakes: 190-200°F
— Italian Meringue Buttercream: 240°F before adding to egg whites, 70°F before adding butter

Most people think “Blended Bakes” is just about desserts. It’s not. 🤍

Our family is blended in more ways than one.

Removing barriers of race, embracing step-parent adoption, bridging age gaps, and building connection through love, family, and food.

Long before I knew what this business would become, I knew I wanted it to feel like home.

Warm, welcoming, beautifully imperfect, and full of comfort in whatever season of life someone is in.

This business was built during motherhood, surrounded by incredible women in my community, and inspired by the people who made me a mom in the first place.

So Mother’s Day will always feel a little extra special around here. 🤍

This week has felt heavier than I’ve wanted to admit.

It’s weird how sometimes we think nothing is changing…simply because it’s not happening in the timeline or way we expected it to.

Trying to remember that slower progress is still progress. 🤍

Have you ever realized something was working only after you stopped forcing it?

P.S. Ignore my dusty sweater it’s my favorite one to wear when making bread or decorating cakes (I happened to be doing both this day).
