I had the opportunity to attend and serve as a vendor at the Wellness Social: Purpose – A One Day Experience hosted by . The gathering brought together an impressive lineup of speakers, wellness practitioners and small business owners focused on personal growth, holistic health and intentional living. Throughout the day, guests engaged with professionals across multiple disciplines and explored new approaches to well-being.

This marked my first large-scale event as a vendor and I am proud to share that I have been invited back for the March experience at Casa Sur. Preparing for this event required days of planning, baking and coordination. I was fortunate to have my nieces by my side every step of the way. Their support in what I am building made this milestone possible.

Every purchase at this event also extended beyond the table. A portion of proceeds supported , helping provide clothing and essentials to families throughout San Diego. Your support of small businesses creates a wider impact, strengthening initiatives that serve others.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, sampled and invested your time in supporting all the small businesses that were present this day. I look forward to continuing to serve my community and learning more about my role in this journey as a small business owner.

Grateful for the opportunity to cater pastries for the team at Chase Bank in downtown San Diego. It was a pleasure to serve their office and to tour their beautiful two-story location in Cortez Hill, a thoughtfully designed space that brings comprehensive personal and business banking services together under one roof.

I appreciate the time the team took to walk me through the many resources available to small business owners and to share insight into the financial tools that support growth. Their professionalism, generosity and genuine kindness made the experience especially encouraging to continue growing this partnership together along with more San Diego small businesses.

Apparently for three seconds I hired a helium voiceover artist without realizing it. I have no technical explanation for how or why that happened and with a zero marketing budget, I suppose creative surprises are part of the process. Leaving it in for transparency and in case it brings a quick laugh to your day.

I attended my first vendor event for Small Business Saturday, benefiting local Latina-owned small businesses and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Sharing the day with my kids, family, and friends reminded me why this small business journey is worth every challenge. A big shoutout to my baby girl, Sophia, for taking the reins in her first entrepreneurial debut. I couldn’t be more proud of her.

One of the best parts was meeting incredible entrepreneurs who sparked new ideas and inspired me to grow beyond my roots. My motivation is stronger than ever to bring exciting new developments to Casita Colibrí in 2026. Stay tuned!
