If I had an extra $1,000 to spend on my wedding, here’s where I’d put it 👀

💍 A videographer
Most couples prioritize photography (as they should!), but there’s something incredibly special about being able to hear the vows, watch the first dance, and relive the little moments you missed. Photos freeze a moment. Video brings it back to life. 🥹

💍 A DJ
This one is wildly underrated. A great DJ does so much more than hit play on a playlist. They read the room, keep the energy flowing, make announcements, and know exactly when to switch gears. The difference between a good dance floor and an unforgettable one is often the DJ. ✨

💍 Entertainment for the kids
Bounce houses, lawn games, coloring pages, scavenger hunts—anything to keep the littles busy and having fun. Trust me, you’ll appreciate it when you’re giving toasts and don’t have to compete with a toddler who’s having the loudest moment of their life. 😂

💍 An audio guestbook
I will never stop talking about these. Hearing your grandparents, parents, friends, and favorite people leave messages for you is such a gift. Years from now, you’ll be able to hear their voices exactly as they were on your wedding day, and that’s pretty priceless. 🤍

- Common Mistakes When planning your guest list:

🪻1 - Inviting people because you feel like you “have to”

Not every person you know needs an invite. Start with the people you genuinely want there, then work outward based on your venue capacity, budget, and priorities. And remember: not every guest has to be invited to every part of the day!

🪻 2 - Sending out a cold, generic address form

A form is great for staying organized… but the way you send it matters. A quick, thoughtful text can make guests feel personally invited instead of like they’re filling out paperwork via blast on Facebook 🤪

🪻 3 - Mailing invitations too late (or way too early)

Most couples send invitations around 4–8 weeks before the wedding. If guests are traveling, closer to 10–12 weeks gives everyone more time to plan. Save the dates? Think 3–4 months ahead.

🪻 4 - Not organizing addresses as you collect them

Future you will be grateful you stayed organized 😅 Keep addresses in a Google Sheet so thank you cards, holiday cards, baby announcements, and future invites are way easier later on.

🪻 5 - Forgetting to save an invitation suite for your photographer

One of the most overlooked wedding details imo!! Keep an extra invitation suite tucked away for flat lays and detail photos — you spent time choosing those little details, let them be part of the memories too ✨

— Don’t save your favorite things for the reception!! 📢 Play the fun playlist while you’re getting ready with your girls, use your favorite flowers at the luncheon, order cute matching drinks, whatever it might look like. Don’t save all the “fun” for the reception, bring those things into every part of your day. ✨

The bridal suite was designed to feel like a place you can actually settle into — spacious, private, calm, and filled with good light. A space to get ready with your people, take it all in a little, and enjoy the morning instead of rushing through it.

And honestly, some of the sweetest moments happen in here too — first looks, bridals, quiet deep breaths before the ceremony, all of it 🤍

We have a new little face around here 🥰

Meet Margot! This perfect girl joined our family last month and we’ve been in newborn heaven, just soaking her in. 💕 We feel so complete and happy having her in our family.

🤍

Build in more buffer time than you think you need.

Things almost always take a little longer — getting ready, photos, transitions — and having that extra space keeps the day from feeling rushed.

A calm timeline changes everything.
