This contract is to ensure that your custom cake is made, designed and delivered to your specifications. RETAINERS (DEPOSITS): Your event date is reserved and order confirmed only on the receipt of your deposit by Cake Baby. Deposits are 50% of order, and are not refundable in any circumstances. Please note, if your order is needed in less than 2 weeks, full balance is due to book. FINAL PAYMENTS
: For weddings, final payment is due no less than 7 days before wedding. For birthday and celebration cakes over $100, final payment can be made at anytime prior to delivery or pick-up. DELIVERY: Please ensure that event venue has a sturdy table, out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources. If set up is required on site, a separate table is needed to allow room for assembly. Please communicate if venue has gravel roads, very windy roads, stairs, etc. So that I can use my judgement on if cake needs to be assembled on site. PICK-UPS: If you chose to pick up your cake, please insure it has a flat surface to rest on, in an air conditioned vehicle. Cautious driving is very necessary, especially with tiered cakes. Cake Baby will not be held liable for damaged cakes once it has left her property. MEDIA: Cake Baby reserves the right to use pictures of your cake for advertising, referencing and posting on social media platforms. If you wish to share pictures from your event, please send direct to me or tag Cake Baby on social media platforms. SAFETY: Tiered caked require straws for support and a center dowel for stability. Please DO NOT smash face or hands into cake! It may result in injury. Fondant can be a choking hazard to very young children. Fondant decorations that are requested on smash cakes MUST be removed before allowing child to consume. Cake Baby will not be held liable for injuries occurring from straws, dowels or fondant decorations. CANCELLATIONS: In the event that unforseen circumstances occur causing you to cancel your event, please notify me immediately. If cancelation occurs prior to 7 days before event, your deposit can be transferred to a future event, but not refunded. If cancelation occurs under 3 days notice, deposit (or full amount paid) will not be transferable or refunded. REFUNDS: If you are somehow dissatisfied with cake design and choose to not accept cake, you will receive a partial refund. The deposit, however, will not be refunded. CHANGES: If you need to make any changes to you order (dates, flavors, servings) please notify me promptly. Changes may incur additional cost. By placing deposit you are confirming that you have read, and agree to, the terms and conditions stated above.
