Leia is still missing.
At this point, I don't know what to think anymore.
I've posted all over Facebook. I've gone door to door. I've put up flyers and talked to people. Leia has always come home before. She's a senior dog, and she knows where home is.
That's why it's so hard for me to believe that she's simply lost.
Every day that passes, I wonder if someone has her, or if something happened to her and I just don't know about it.
If someone found Leia and decided to keep her, I hope she's being loved and cared for. I truly do. But please know that she isn't a stray with no family. She is deeply loved and missed. She has a home. She has people waiting for her.
I miss hearing her walk through the house carrying one of her squeaky toys. I miss her frosty little eyes looking up at me. I miss her funny face and all of her little quirks. She wasn't "just a dog." She was my baby girl.
And Luke misses her too. He still seems lonely without his sister.
What hurts the most is not knowing.
If someone knows something—anything—please tell me. If you saw her somewhere, if you know who has her, if she was found injured, or even if the worst happened and she passed away, I would rather know the truth than spend the rest of my life wondering.
I'm not looking to blame anyone. I just need answers. I need closure.
Please continue sharing Leia's photo and this post. Somewhere, someone knows what happened to her.
Please help bring my girl home—or help me finally learn where her journey ended.
Leia was last seen on Craigs Mountain Road in Christiansburg.
Thank you to everyone who has shared, searched, prayed, and checked on us. It means more than you know.
