Hey Skoldiers,

Wednesday practice has concluded for the Minnesota Vikings and there is some good news and some bad news.

The good: Jefferson did light practice, as did Aaron Jones Sr. and Brian ONeill.

The bad: Jordan Addison and Christian Darrisaw did not practice today.

That doesn’t mean they won’t play, but it’s not the greatest news.

However, in even better news, our kicker Will Reichert was named Special Teams player of the week! And that’s off of Myles Price winning NFC Special Teams player of the month! Congrats to both.

Hey Skoldiers!

A quick heads up: the Chicago Marathon is this coming Sunday (10/11) and runs past Wrigleyville down Broadway to the east.

So, if you normally get over to Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill by going up or down Lakeshore Drive or something like that and then cutting over to Clark, you're not gonna make it. Come at Roadhouse from the west.

Attached is the marathon route, both the whole thing and zoomed in on the Wrigleyville area.

ALSO, spots are filling up for the Minnesota Vikings game (noon kickoff), so text Matt for a reservation ASAP (312-385-0019)!

We'll see you all there.

Hey Skoldiers!

Another great win for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, against Miami. Once again, we had good and bad: the good was our defense and special teams. The bad was the offense, especially the O-line. Way too many sacks from a less than stellar Miami defense. That's gotta change!

Anyway, it was a beautiful day and a great game with great friends. We had lots of CCVC Members, regulars and visitors, and we're so glad you all came.

As always, we had our halftime raffle as well as a members-only raffle. Here are the winners (please pardon any name spelling errors!):

1. A really cool and strong Vikings chain necklace was won by Sukh.
2. Kelsey took home a soft Vikings frisbee that can even be used indoors.
3. Jake took home a big Vikings bucket of Fireball Wh**ky. Party time!
4. Melanie took home a very cook set of Minnesota prizes - a Minnesota Hot Dish cookbook, wild rice from Minnesota, a Vikings towel and most everything else needed to make some yummy comfort food. When's dinner?
5. The ever-popular Shots for the Table was won by Ray, thanks to Matt at Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill. And thanks for sharing one with me, Ray!
6. A really sweet Vikings throwback baseball cap was won by Kieran.
7. Finally, the always coveted Big Bottle of Booze (and a very nice one indeed: a bottle of The Glenlivet 12 year old scotch, again courtesy of Matt Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill, was won by Billy.

And not to be out done, our members-only prize was a beautiful Vikings etched crystal decanter, glasses, bottle stopper and cold cubes, all in a leather carrying case. This prize was courtesy of your CCVC.

And the winner of that was...JOHN!!

Congratulations to all our winners!!

Stay tuned for some more info about next weeks game. It'll be a good one against the Saints.

See you then!

Well, t looks like Jefferson is out this weekend when the Minnesota Vikings play the Dolphins. But, the Vikes are still 9.5 pt favorites and the pick to win by all the “experts”. So, cautiously optimistic.

We will be at Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill this Sunday of course, so we want to see all of you there as well.

This is gonna be a great game and a great time!

Alright Skoldiers! How about that win against the Bucs? I'm curious to hear your opinions on how Kyler did that game. It's a bummer that Jefferson went out, but it sounded like his ankle injury was not bad. In fact he was back on the sidelines in his helmet after coming out of the tent, so I think that they just let him rest for a bit. We should see him this week. 🤞

This week, the Minnesota Vikings host the Dolphins. The Vikes are highly favored (11.5 pts), which is great, but as Vikes fans know better than anyone, anything can happen any given Sunday! We will be at Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill as always for the game, so make a reservation now and get there. Kickoff is 3:05 pm.

Since I was at the game in Tampa, I have to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to both our long-time CCVC member Allen our DJ Dammit Jim for taking care of the raffle and the other shenanigans. THANK YOU!!

And speaking of that, here are our winners for the raffle:

1. A cute dice set and shaker were won by Jonny.
2. Anna won the Vikings boxers and sock. I hope she can use them!
3. Sophia took home the Vikings earbuds. Those are always useful!
4. Art was the lucky recipient of the ever-popular Big Bottle O' Booze, thanks to Matt and Roadhouse 66 Gas N' Grill.
5. The Vikings Bobbleheads was won by Chancey (sorry if that spelling is wrong - I'm interpreting handwriting).
6. A really beautiful pair of earrings and a bracelet was won by Jacob. Could be a nice gift for someone? Or not.
7. Mark won the very cool and often-coveted Vikings gnome!
8. Margo won the sought after Shots for the Table! Again, thanks to Matt for that.
9. The Vikings cocktail shaker was won by Joe. That'll be a nice addition to any home bar.
10. The Vikes wallet was won by Sam, and I'm jealous. I need a new wallet...
11. And a surprise prize of original artwork of Prince, famously a Vikings fan, was won by John. Very cool!

Congratulations to all our winners and thanks again to Jim and Allen.

We WILL be having a members-only raffle this coming Sunday, and it's gonna be cool. We'll have it on display during the game, so if you like it an you're not already a CCVC member, now's your chance. But even as cool as this will be, we'll have some items later this season that are arguably even better. Yep, that's a tease...

We'll see you all this Sunday!

Case Keenum is on fire for the Bears tonight. Remember when he played for the Minnesota Vikings back in 2017? He did a pretty good job for us, especially the throw to Stefon Diggs against the Saints that we will all remember forever!!

Of course the Eagles just put a heck of a drive together to end the half. Impressive.

The Minnesota Vikings somehow win the game after one of the crazies...

Well, here’s some new news!

I guess that McCarthy Minnesota Vikings jersey is a collectors item now…
