Every once in a while, we love taking a trip down memory lane with a greatest hits reel. This is one of those moments!

Since 1983, we’ve been baking authentic, kettle-boiled New York bagels with that signature crunchy crust and chewy center. We started as kids fresh out of college, on a mission to bring the bagels we grew up with in New Haven, Connecticut, to Chicago. And we’re still at it!

Have a great week, everyone! And take our advice: Never toast a fresh-out-of-the-oven Brobagel. It’s already perfect!

It’s important to know your bagels.

Our bagels are mixed and shaped in-house, kettle-boiled, hand-dipped in seeds, baked on redwood boards, and finished on the hearth of our bagel oven. We use only high-gluten flour, water, salt, yeast, and malt. The only exception is our cinnamon raisin bagels, which contain brown sugar. Otherwise, there’s no sugar, no oil, no bromated or bleached flour, and no GMOs.

Mixing bagels on-site and using top-quality ingredients are essential to making the very best bagels. Flash-freezing and shipping par-baked bagels simply can’t deliver the quality you deserve.
