Here's where to grab your favorite treats this month!

is hosting a pre-valentines market this Saturday. If you're in The Region, this is your chance to save on shipping, and also to try the turtle candies.

On Valentine's proper, I'll be at indoor market with jams, turtles, and pop tarts- I'm rolling through the core lineup of jams as pop tart fillings, so come try a new flavor each market! I'm at all the events for this series; maybe you've had a Blueberry Maple Chai or a Black Raspberry Cardamom pop tart already.

And of course you know I'll be living my best dog lover's life at for their Pamper Your Pup event! I'll have jams and some snackish treats as well. You don't need to have a dog to attend, and there are lots of nice things for humans as well.

Custom Cakes, pt 2!

There were lots of fun themes last year and I got to practice doing ombre looks along with a bit of fondant work (I feel good about my ability to make ducks and bowling balls).

Hallmark holiday or not, really Valentine's is all about the chocolate! While I personally rarely eat sweets, I absoltuely used to just snac.. err, quality control.. 74% dark chocolate when I worked in kitchens.

Grab some of my best selling chocolate treats, some rosewater pistachio macarons, or a 6" honey tea cake to brighten up your February (sharing optional). Orders close at noon on Mon, Feb 9th.

While you may mostly know me as a jam and confections maker, I also take custom orders for cakes! I set a goal of 15 custom orders for 2025 and hit that in August. Here's some of the cakes that I got to make last year to help y'all celebrate- thank you so much to everyone who reached out to see what we could come up with together!

I don't do super fancy decorated cakes- I used to work at a cake bakery that hired literal artists to scuplt fondant full time, and I could NEVER 🤣 I keep it simple with a few flavors of cake, buttercream, and jam fillings; y'all have come up with some fun combinations over the years. Strawberry Vanilla Bean Jam has been the most common filling, but Raspberry Maple Balsamic with chocolate cake was probably my personal favorite (are you really even a baker if you don't make a mini trifle with all of the scraps from your projects??).

The holiday One of a Kind show is in full swing- we are on day three already!

I'm here with in the southwest corner of the Merchandise Mart- we couldn't have asked for a better view! The holiday train was running on the brown line this morning and we get lots of lovely southern light.
There's so many talented small businesses here and there's definitely a gift for everyone on your list!

I'm sampling all of my nationwide flavors- come grab a taste and get some jars for your holiday gatherings.
Popular so far:
Raspberry Maple Balsamic Jam- great for cheese plates or charcuterie boards
Strawberry Vanilla Bean Jam- best host gift or gift exchange item if you aren't sure of someone's flavor preferences but want to get something tasty and unique!
Turtles- classic treat with IL grown pecans, caramel, and dark chocolate.

Now that we've all had our fill of turkey leftovers (I made turkey and barley soup!), it's on to Christmas gatherings and peppermint treats :)

This holiday menu has a little something for everyone- place your orders before Dec 17 to guarantee your favorites! Turtles and peppermint macarons are always best sellers this time of year, but there are some classic options from farmers market season as well- butter swirl cookies are always a nice sharing option, and you really can't go wrong with a chocoalte cherry brownie. Scroll to see current preserve flavors.

Happy Small Business Saturday, aka the kickoff to PEPPERMINT SEASON 🌲

I'm posted up here at next to some Buffalo Trace barrels with bunches of other local makers! Come enjoy the first real snowfall, grab lunch, and support the businesses that keep your community vibrant.

I'll have turtles, peppermint macarons, and peppermint meringues (Christmint Trees, heh) with me at markets for the season.

Small Biz Saturday is really just the start of Peppermint Season for bakers ;)

I'll be at Half Acre Brewing tomorrow, along with 40+ other local business owners! You'll have your first chance at Peppermint Macarons and Peppermint Meringues at this market, along with my winter setup of jams and turtles. Bust out your winter gear and cozy up inside for a meal at the brewery, then do some shopping!

"The Vault" concept by I Heart Indie is a way for makers to clear out some inventory- so I'll have some jars of Watermelon Lime Mint Jelly and Blackberry Maple Ginger Jelly that are a little too wobbly/ loose to be sold at full price but still taste great- they're best in cocktails, honestly. Make a margarita with the Watermelon and put some Blackberry in some whiskey- the flavors are tasty but the set of the jellies is just a bit off. Other makers will have discount sections as well- scope out some great local finds!
