I want to spend this last day focused on my family. Once I began selling my cookies our kids kept asking when we were going to open a bakery, claiming they wanted to come in after school 🙄(rarely happened). On the other hand Dave questioned my additional career choice. Despite his misgivings, he was at my side, helping, supporting, cleaning and loving me while taking on so many more home duties for our 8, 11 and 13 year olds. My siblings, cousins, in laws, parents and aunt all stepped in. My mom and aunt worked markets and events, delivered, shopped and organized weekly forging a bond of which I will forever be grateful.
I have learned more in the last 8 years than I ever thought I could.
I’ve met more amazing people in the last seven years than I ever thought I would.
I feel truly blessed to be surrounded by such love.
Now is my time to be there for my family and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity.
Dave, Lauren, Phineas and Sam I truly hope you take some inspiration from the work we have done, sweetness we have shared and the community we have loved. I am so proud of your thoughtfulness, work ethic, understanding, drive and empathy.
To the Leyden’s and Merrill’s thank you for being wonderful role models, a friend, helping hand and supporter.
To my Edge of Sweetness family and community I’ve been so honored to meet you, learn from you and take part in your lives. You have touched my soul and I will never forget you.
I am hopeful you come in tomorrow so I can see you in person.
Retail open 12-6pm then celebrate with us 6 to 8 PM.
We have breakfast sandwiches, quiche, bagels and so much more (of course cinnamon rolls 😋) to enjoy in house or take home.
These pictures tell the story of how much life has evolved since our inception.
