ANNOUNCEMENT: Chicago Mayor's Office Mayor Brandon Johnson BACP announce the Neighborhood Market Grant Program, which supports food entrepreneurs and food-focused organizations in communities working to increase access to fresh, healthy and affordable food.

Allies for Community Business has been selected to manage the Neighborhood Market Grant Program. The $450,000 grant will provide one-time awards in amounts up to $10,000 to eligible food entrepreneurs and farmers market operators serving in communities with inequitable access to fresh food.

Small businesses are the backbone of Chicago's neighborhoods. They create jobs, bring neighbors together and help define the unique character of every community across our city. I'm encouraged to see new grant opportunities becoming available to help eligible small businesses that have experienced financial hardship. Programs like Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce this can provide meaningful support as businesses work to recover, retain employees and continue serving their communities.
