We have a vanilla cake recipe from covered in Swiss meringue buttercream and topped with GORGEOUS (sustainable and non-toxic) blooms from This little cake put me through my paces today, folks. I had a frosting issue involving some rank vanilla that I will not be buying again. That’s ok! After a trip to the store and another big batch of buttercream later, the cake was frosted (sigh). Went with the naked look cause I was NOT making anymore frosting today!! Nooooo way! Clothes are overrated anyway 🤣🤣 Plus, I was racing the sun! I almost missed my photo opportunity and that would have been an absolute CRIME with these beautiful flowers to show off!! Ok, that’s a wrap 🥱😅

I remember when it came out and you’d crank up the radio and sing along:) It’s been a second since I’ve posted a bake and even longer since I’ve done any sugar flowers. Suppose Mom’s big 7-0 is a great excuse for both!! Thanks to for the fantastic wireless peony tutorial - and I’m totally gonna check out your flexible gum paste course (WUT!).
