After Sofia's open heart surgery in 2015, she needed a way to burn off the energy, without too much physical exertion. Baking cupcakes to friends, family, teachers, neighbors, and even families of other heart patients at Children's Hospital. Sofia is now a junior at Johnson&Wales University, getting a degree in Baking and Pastry. She is not taking orders at the time since she is out of state.

Sweet Recovery will be open starting 8/17, as Sofia continues her classes remotely from Virginia. Her menu of items have expanded into entremets, tarts, pies, bagels, breads, biscuits, and of course cakes and cupcakes. PM if you would like to place an order!

Our Story

UAfter Sofia's open heart surgery last year, she needed a way to burn off the energy, without too much physical exertion. After a few days of binge watching Cupcake Wars...she took to the kitchen herself!! Baking cupcakes to friends, family, teachers, neighbors, and even families of other heart patients at Children's Hospital. So, she has now put her passion into building this little business for herself. Besides making money, she is helping to build her portfolio to hopefully get accepted to a culinary school after graduating from Potomac Falls HS next June.
