Bella Donna's started out as a gluten free grocery store in Ligonier, PA the spring of 2008. We carried every major brand of gluten free bread products. For the most part, we were very disappointed with them. None of them had the taste, feel and texture of what we considered to be “real bread.” So we set out to create our own ....
We started experimenting with various flours to create our own brea

ds. We continued experimenting and created our signature Bella Donna's Blend. The Result was a soft, light bread that held together and tasted like…bread; “real” bread. From there we set out to recreate other breads and baked goods to make them taste like their non-gluten free counter parts. The results, according to our customers…”Are you sure this is gluten free?...It tastes ‘real”.
