Introducing myself to some and saying hiiiii to others! Just a bit about me, what I do and some announcements and housekeeping.
My name is Ayana and I’ve been baking since I was a little girl. I’ve officially been running Lenora’s Corner Cakery since 2015 but I was getting in trouble for using my moms ingredients to sell stuff in high school 😂
I’m a wife to a sailor who is currently deployed and we have 2 beautiful children. If you’ve picked up from me, you’ve probably seen them, they are attached to my hip. I’m a veracious reader and lover of true crime podcasts.
We’ve been to a few different states and I pick up my business and move it with me. It’s just been since the beginning of the year I’ve been focusing on regrowing here. I am not that great at posting content but I’m going to make an effort to show up here more.
I mostly focus on making custom cakes. Birthdays, weddings, retirements and any celebration in between. Occasionally I’ll feel like making something special, And I’ll put that on a little pop up menu. Lately that’s been cinnamon rolls, but as long as y’all are buying them I will keep making them. Occasionally you can catch me at local markets, usually during the holidays.
Cinnamon roll menu for the week drops on Monday and orders close Thursday evening or when I’m at capacity. I make a very limited amount each week. Pickup is Fridays starting at 3 pm. Starting next week I will be implementing an order form it should reduce the need to message me. It’s always 3 rotating flavors plus original on the menu. I will be taking a break this week to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I will be resuming regular pickups for the 12th
I think that’s all for now, it’s nice to have some new friends around here! What’s some flavors you’d like to see? I definitely do take requests into consideration.
Ps. I know I’m far. I’ve been floating the idea of doing a meet up spot for cinnamon rolls. Possibly somewhere in the greenbrier or great bridge area in Chesapeake, then again over in Hampton. Let me know what times work best or if you guys would be interested in that.
