Hello again!
I just want to be upfront as I'm getting a good number of requests for summer cakes, especially if you have never ordered from me before. My cakes begin around the $50 price point for basic designs. When we start to get into pinterest worthy cakes you can expect a quote of between $80-$150 and up. Also, obviously the larger the cake, the higher the price. Some custom cakes require a ton of time, special ingredients and special tools, plus my years of working on techniques goes into it. To put things in perspective custom cakes are a multiple day process and if I paid myself $8 an hour, even without the cost of ingredients or the research required for some ideas, just one day would be $64. Also, if you plan to have it delivered that cost will be a part of your quote.
I know this gives some people sticker shock. I also know you can get a cake at Walmart or other bulk places for much cheaper and if cost is an issue I do encourage you to go that route. No shame, I go that route often for donuts and other such sweets.
