The largest cookie order that I previously mentioned taught me that I can't rush packaging. It's hard because I want the cookies to stay fresh. They have to sit out to dry for several hours. If you bag them too soon, the moisture will come out in the bag. They'll stick and smudge, and it's not pretty. This was an order for 8 dozen cookies. Easily two full days of work.

Hi! How are you?

Here's a summary of my last two weeks;
3 weddings, 3 memorials, 3 birthdays, and 1 family reunion.

I think it's worth mentioning that this is the most orders I've done in a two week period. Also, this was the largest sugar cookie order and largest cupcake order in my history.

In this episode of This Or That - German Chocolate Cookies!

One recipe had cocoa powder and chocolate chips and Bakers German Chocolate. The other recipe had only cocoa powder but used cake flour.

At work, they tied. Some liked the gooey, rich chocolate cookie. Some like the chewier cakey cookie. One thing they all agreed on...its all about the coconut pecan frosting.

A little out of my comfort zone since I dont have artsy experience. This is my second palette knife decorated cake. Whipped cream frosting doesn't like to be molded like buttercream, but all in all, I think it's a win; especially since the bride thought to message me the morning after her wedding. 😊

Happily worked out a compromise to accommodate this wedding order on a busy weekend. They kept it simple and I baked.😊

48 vanilla - 24 with vanilla buttercream and 24 with chcoolate buttercream
48 chocolate - 24 with vanilla buttercream and 24 with chcoolate buttercream
48 lemon with vanilla buttercream
6" lemon with raspberry filling
8" chcoolate with whipped chcoolate ganache filling

If it feels like I've been off the radar lately, you're right. This time of year is always busy, but this year seems ultra crazy. We even added two more babies this month for a total of 16 family birthdays in July.

Adding to my insanity, my baking management software went away at the end of May. All my recipes, customer database, orders, and calendars are no longer available at my fingertips. It has been a major adjustment, you know, using paper and pen. 😁 I can hardly wait until the new program launches.

As much as I hate to turn away an opportunity to make your event sweeter, family time is super important. We've had so much going on, nonstop since spring and we still have a wedding shower, bachelorette/bachelor trip, 80th birthday, and Allison's wedding!

Thank you for your understanding. I am forever grateful. 💕
