Due to some changes in my life this year, I've had to cut down on the available items. I've kept the most popular things, of course!

On a related note, because of those changes and an uncertainty involving my schedule during this upcoming Fest season, I'm encouraging pre-orders!

If you want to guarantee some boxes of goodies for the first few weekends, SEND ME A MESSAGE ASAP!

I've updated the website with the relevant information and also simplified ordering.

I will be out of the country for a few weeks until just before Fest starts, so everything will be going through Messenger to make things easier for everyone.

Was hard at work last week, planning and preparing. Had a week off from the day job, but spent it experimenting. The result is SIX new cookie flavors available (the white chocolate peppermint has one more tweak I'm going to make, but this is good enough for now).

I'm also going to start offering party trays for the holidays! If you are interested in a tray for Thanksgiving, reach out ASAP.
I'm going to have a very limited amount available for Thanksgiving thanks to some big changes going on in my life.

I start a new job next week!

Back to the trays:
The bar tray has 60 bites and can have up to three different flavors. $45 for regular and $50 for GF/DF.
The cookie tray has 4 dozen cookies, you can choose to have either full dozens or half dozens for flavors. $35

The new cookie flavors aren't on the website yet (working on that!) but I will get them up soon.
The full cookie flavor list is:
Ginger, Chocolate Chip, Butter, Snickerdoodle, Chocolate Snickerdoodle, Peppermint Chocolate Chip
Shown in the pictures:
Peppermint White Chocolate, Lemon Shortbread, Sugar, Peanut Butter Blossom, Reverse Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Crinkle

The only cookies I have verified a gluten and dairy free version of are the Ginger and Chocolate Chip, but if someone is interested in a tray I will work on that with the little bit of free time I have left. 🤣
I start my new job on Tuesday, and it sounds like I will basically be working through til Thanksgiving.

If I cannot accommodate you for Thanksgiving... I have open availability for Christmas! There is no such thing as ordering too far in advance, especially when there is one person making everything who also works full-time!

I just want to thank everyone (especially Merlin) for a very successful and rather touching Festival season.
I met many new people and many new friends, and made a lot of people very happy.
It's done wonders for my confidence (though I am honestly still a little in shock), helped drive home that... this can work. I can be successful in something that is meaningful to me.

As a note, I tallied it up, and though I'm sure I'm missing some in my collections of scribbled lists, I delivered somewhere in the vicinity of 50 orders over the course of the season.
I was expecting to have some success, but that's far more than I was imagining, so thank you to everyone that contributed to that success.

I still exist outside of the season! Although I am planning on taking about two weeks off from "business" baking, if people want to place orders, I am more than happy to work with you!

Outside of the Festival, I was planning on doing orders around once a month (so gathering orders during the first three-quarters of the month, and then doing deliveries/arranging pickups during the last part of the month).
With the holidays approaching all too soon, obviously things will be a little different. If you want to plan something, PLEASE REACH OUT.
I can and will likely take orders for things not already on my "menu," as I like to experiment when time permits.

For now, though, I am signing out and hopefully getting a day or two of much-earned rest.

Just a note that if you want to make an order for the last weekend, please make your order by the end of Saturday (24th).
If you want to order here through Facebook but still pay in cash, let me know and I can stop by your shop on Saturday!
There is also Venmo as an option, if we can't make it work to meet up on Saturday.

I will be focusing on my ginger cookie haul for the last weekend, so I have a busy week ahead of me.
I will try to have samples with me this weekend, if anyone wanted to try some!

If I did my math correctly... to fulfill the orders for next weekend, I'm going to need:
43 eggs, 48oz of vegan butter and 64oz of regular butter. Also at least one bag of GF flour, because the 25lb bag I ordered won't get here until Tuesday or Wednesday, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need more than I have on-hand... And that's without really much extra for samples or just having stock on-hand.
Looks like Hubs gets to go shopping for me tomorrow 🤣
Gonna be a busy couple of days for me!

Spent yesterday perfecting the GF/DF version of the chocolate chip cookies!
GF/DF Brownies: check

GF/DF Rice Krispies: pending inspection
GF/DF Snickerdoodle Blondies: next on the list!
I think I might end up being ready for the Renaissance Festival, after all!

Doing some experimental baking today.

As I slid the gluten-free, vegan brownies into the oven, something felt off. I was using an egg substitute that had never failed me before, but something about the batter just didn't seem right.

I thought to myself "You're going to turn into hockey pucks, aren't you? I'd better do a batch of gluten-free, dairy-free ones that still have eggs. Just in case."

As I'm getting the GF/DF ones ready to go into the oven, I pull out the fully-vegan ones.....

Joke's on me, they didn't turn into hockey pucks.
They turned into a gelatinous mass that has only now, almost an hour later, somewhat set. And that was even after an extra ten minutes in the oven!

As a side note, brownies aren't available fully vegan. 😂 The GF/DF ones look good so far, but only time will tell if they actually turned out right!
